DIY Zelda Twilight Princess
Are you an old school Zelda fan like me? Would you like to create a Zelda Twilight Princess cosplay, a costume for Halloween or other occasion? Then you're in the right place.
Here, I list some very simple concepts which will allow you or your child to become the main charcter from the Zelda Twilight Princess game. (This is a basic Link costume for the male protagonist.)
First to capture the I am Zelda Twilight Princess look you're going to need some tights. Opaque tights work best but feel free to substitute other colors/shades. You'll also need a pair of boots (preferably ankle-high but again substtutions can be made), a pair of shorts and a matching shirt. This is the basic "jerkin" uniform, a monochrome body covering paired with tights and boots.
And of course, you'll need a weapon. Unless you have a personal arsenal at your disposal, I would suggest taking a large piece of cardboard and cutting out a sword shape. See the figure below.
Once you've cut this out, cover the cardboard shape in aluminum foil to make it look shiny like metal. (Children should obviously be supervised by adult when handling scissors or other sharp cutting implements.)
Now that you've got your your uniform and your weapon, put it all together and get dressed. So, you're ready to adventure! Press [Play].
