Why is it that aspec experiences are acceptable fanfic/headcanon material only if they’re suggested by allo people who don’t realize that what they’re talking about is an aspec experience? Like, why is “Character X has never fallen in love/been attracted to anyone and they feel broken” alright when it’s an allo person saying it because “oh, it’ll be so angsty!” but if an aspec person says, “Character X has never fallen in love/been attracted to anyone and they feel broken because they’re aspec” it’s unacceptable and you’ll get hate for suggesting it.

Why are my experiences only valid if you can pretend they’re not my experiences?

I was referencing a meme that was going around near the beginning of the quarantine comparing babies born nine months after valentine’s day and babies born nine months after quarantine starts before shit started getting actually serious but whatever.

I wouldn’t even reference it now because since then shit has gotten really bad and the meme isn’t funny anymore, but at the time it was funny and we never thought things could get as bad as they’ve gotten.

In hindsight yeah the whole meme is bad and I’m sorry for referencing it, but it’s no excuse to be an aphobic asshole.
