I'm not a roleplay account! I just tell the story, so please don't send roleplay related asks. Basically just don't ask characters things directly, they will not respond. If you do send an ask that addresses a character I might ( under the right circumstances) still answer it but the character will not. I love interacting with you guys and answering questions but I do not feel comfortable doing roleplay or pretending to be a character. I simply act as a narrator.

Hello! I have been reading through your blog for a while today and have been really enjoying this AU!

I have a couple questions:

Why did Ragatha's abstration affect the guest's kids? Is this normal? I thought abstration only really affected the souls held captive and preserved within the capsule because they didn't have the headsets that guests used to access the capsule.

Was Caine's line about not wanting to die sober because he was expecitng to be punished more severely than normal by BUBLE? Or was it more a statement about his mental state after having to send Ragatha to " No Man's Land"?

Who is H? Is he plot relevent in anyway?

And finally: Will Caine and Pomni get to share their feelings and a kiss in story? Will it be beautiful and happy? Or beautiful, but sad?

Hello! I'm so glad you've been liking the AU I'm sorry this took so long to answer.

You are absolutely right. Guests of the capsule can't abstract, only those trapped there both physically and mentally can. Ragathas abstraction is funny because technically it didn't infect the kids. Those kids are still completely lucid inside of her. They just can't escape her. Because the children didn't have there masks on when Ragatha abstracted their forms weren't solid (they were like sticky goo people, the masks give the guests shape) which meant they could easily get caught and stuck within the abstraction. Now, because abstractions can't really be tracked down or identified. Neither can the children, meaning they're stuck like that. Those children will never return to there bodies, the body will lay there limp until it decays. I wouldn't call this situation 'Normal' it had NEVER happened before (Ragatha had been the only child care attendant ever in the capsule), but is was a possible situation Caine saw. Hence why he'd normally always checked in on Ragatha. He knew how close to the edge she could get sometimes.

It was about Caines mental state, Caine is an alcoholic, there is no sugar coating it. He is abstracting by the end of Volatile Captivity. That inky blob coming out of his back is his abstraction ripping him open from the inside out, and Caine...just doesn't feel like dealing with it. He just wants to sit down and have a drink after the days events. He has done this many times before (being on the edge of abstraction). Thought he was tough and pulled himself out of it. After Ragatha he just doesn't know if he has the strength too again. Caine doesn't really care much for BUBLE's torture anymore, Caine has a freakishly high pain tolerance, and has delt with the worst forms of torture from BUBLE over the years. The worst thing BUBLE can do with Caine now, is either, get him to watch his friends all abstract and die Infront of him, or simply use his body to torture the group. SLIGHT SPOILER FOR BUBLE (BUBLE is not aware but it is written deep in his code that he CAN'T let Caine abstract. So, if BUBLE did go to far with Caine, a failsafe system would activate)

H is a manifestation of Caines fear and trauma made by BUBLE, he appears as a ghostly yellow figure of Caine, and who, aside from the first time, only calls Caine "David". He is something Caine sees in his nightmares, and his room. Basically as a punishment for Caine being 'insubordinate' BUBLE replaced Caines room for a replica of the trenches he fought in during WWI. In addition, H is a being made out of mustard gas, the same gas that basically liquefied Caines skin during the war and destroyed his chances at any life after the war. H's existence is really only for giving more on Caine's backstory as well as to show the scale of phycological torture BUBLE uses.

Caine and Pomni will get to confess to each other and be together. Whether the ending is happy or beautiful is subjective but I believe it to be a happy, beautiful, yet ominous ending.

What will happen if Bubble got deleted in the time capsule? Is the time capsule gonna collapse or is it gonna do something to Caine since Buble is taking over him?

This is a very interesting question, and will reveal...a lot of important lore...

There are two sections of BUBLE's code, one the original one written when the capsule was first constructed and the second written as an addition onto BUBLE when CnA got ahold of the Capsule. If BUBLE gets deleted the Time Capsule will remain 'Alive' but go back to its Beta programming. It would be an open field, with a shining sun and waves of golden grain. There would be a singular house, simply build. Inside a piano, ontop portrait of a young Greek Women, with a note,

"I'll Get you out of here as soon you I can David. Please just hang in there and don't forget who you are. I programmed you a little friend to keep you company, I called him Cashew."

But that dog would never be found. He was deleted.

Everyone would be freaked, confused as to what happened.

When theyd walk inside the house, Caine would go over to the piano and see the note, and the portrait, then turn to look at Pomni.... and abstract.

But with BUBBLEs code gone, there is no more circus, no more leader, and Caine would cause everyone else to abstract and no one would escape.

Well since you asked so nicely, how could I say no.

There are a couple very important abstracted characters in the story. The first is, "The Director". He was the leader back in 1927 when Caine or David first entered the Capsule. He abstracted due to a toxic mix of alcohol and Caine...rage baiting him...(This was canon before ep 8 came out I promise). This abstraction made Caine and his best friend, Ace go sober.

After 'The Director's' abstraction, two other leaders abstracted, 'The Hostess' and 'The Captain' before Ace, or "The Owner", became leader, and the Capsule took a Casino theme.

While Ace was leader another character joined Capsule, Scarlet. Ace immediately grew feelings for her, despite her having a massive crush on Caine. In 1957, Queenie abstracted and Ace sacrificed himself to save Caine, getting infected by Queenie and abstracting.

Caine then became the Leader, and the Capsule took a Circus theme. This left Caine, Kinger, and Scarlet alone in the capsule. Kinger and Caine kind of pulled away from Scarlet and after 3 years of this Scarlet also abstracted. Caine still feels massive guilt over this, blaming himself for not being there for her.

While the abstracts can't communicate with the non-abstracted, they can communicate with each other. Once Scarlet abstracts, she can find peace in "no mans land", the place in which Caine sends the abstracts. It's filled with, dead code, including memories. So while it seems like a depressing void to the non-abstracts its almost like heaven for the abstracted. A place where they can get there memories and come to terms with their Death.

When Scarlet, or Amoria, abstracted she gets her memories back and is able to meet Ace again...or Antonio. He was finally is able to confess his feelings to her and together they found happiness in the void, and eventually in the final after life, once the capsule is broke open at the end of the story.

The last very important abstract is...Ragatha. She is a very different abstract. She is an abstract that absorbed the children of the guests she was supposed to care for. This had never happened, and Caine was severely punished by BUBLE for allowing this to occur, and this was the biggest motivation for Caine to get the rest of the cast out of the capsule. After he was able to do this by deleting of the capsule itself, he was left alone in 'No mans Land' with only BUBLE.

what is everyone in the cast’s thoughts on their roles? do they like it? : )

Caine: He loved his...until he didn't...Caine was originally the pianist and bouncer, he played for the guests in what was originally the theater, and soon the casino. The latter being his favorite as the casino's leader of basically like a brother to him. Prior to coming to the circus, David (Caines real name) also played piano, to it was natural for him. After Ace abstracted and Caine became the leader in 1957, he grew to hate his job. Caine was never a "rich people" person. His family was wealthy and disowned him at 17, and he always had a resentment for the culture. So when he has to play the role of a snotty rick dick.. he's not happy.

Kinger: Kinger enjoys his job, the bar itself being an active barrier keeping him from the guests. The most frustrating part of his job really is keeping Caine from stealing the whiskey.

Gangle: loves it, besides the occasional lude comments from guests, she lives to dance.

Zooble: neutral, they really don't give a sh#t, partly because 'fixing' things is what they did IRL too. Yet, though they don't hate it, being the handy man doesn't make them fulfilled.

Ragatha: She enjoys it as it keeps her away from the adults. The kids allow her to space out and forget that all of this is real, focusing on being an older sister rather than being trapped out of time.

Pomni: Hates it at first. Pomni never cared for music always being more into the sciences. Yet as she gets closer and closer to Caine, he teaches her the wonders of music .

Jax: pretends he likes it but doesn't, Jax was a frat boy. He really had no direction in live and was incredibly privileged. So being forced to be a street dancer was kinda his worst nightmare, especially since his dream was mechanical engineering.

Caine: besides piano, he's a huge plane nerd, loves to make little models and puts them on his piano, there a fic by @thescarletnargacuga about it too. Aviation Enthusiast

Kinger: he loves listening to music on records, will do little dances too, sometimes caine and pomni join him

Pomni: Writing, she loves to write stories but has horrible spelling, caine proof reads them

Jax: craft making, he like building things

Ragatha: Puzzles

Gangle: pottery

Zoodle: Anything creative, they have many hobbies.

Me? Well drawing...story telling, baking I love making sweets, music (I sing and write some), exercising (I lift and run in the summer) I wish I could do more, but I'm in a very difficult major at a school known for having the hardest of this major in the country so... not much time

Caine: Kinger loves Caine, he sees Caine as a little brother/nephew. They go way back, actually meeting while serving in WWI. Kinger new Caine when he was just a kid. A naive seventeen year old just wanting to be part of something bigger. Since being sent to the capsule there only gotten closer, being the two oldest survives in the capsule. Thus they are each others rocks, the one constant.

Pomni: Kinger likes Pomni a lot. Pomni is very similar to [REDACTED] and thus he sees her like a daughter, especially since he lost his own.

Gangle: Kinger thinks Gangle is sweet, but a little too loud for him. As when she gets excited she tends to shriek.

Zooble: Kiger doesn't know Zooble too well, as Zooble doesn't drink. However he highly respects the way they carry themselves, and have started one very important heart to heart that kept Zooble from abstracting.

Jax: "If I could court-martial you I would have in seconds..."

Ragatha: He highly respect her and her Job in the capsule, however he knows that she is hiding something. He tries so hard to get her to open up, to leave that fake smile behind, but... it never works.

how would the cast react to some analog horror like elberr, mandela catalogue, and/or others? And would bubble use this analog horror or tropes in analog horror for punishment?

While I am unaware of most analogue horror, so for that I cant give a straight answer on. BUBLE does use audio as a form of torture, Caine and Kinger have both been trapped in rooms for long periods of time and forced to listen to Rudyard Kipling’s poem "Boots", but in there own voices. Hours upon hours of listening to it.

BUBLE using people own voice as a form of torture is not uncommon for him. Since, we are our own worst enemy.

This is actually how 'The Hostess' abstracted, she was deemed to weak by BUBLE and not a good leader. She couldn't "entertain" the guest well enough to it. Proven to BUBLE even more when she did abstract.

I have a question and I think it might be silly to ask. Does Caine like bees or was he just neutral about them? Because I heard that everyone is going crazy about Caine liking bees now.

Caine has an interest in bees. I'd say more of an appreciation rather than loving them. He does however love wasps. Strangely because of how violent they are. I think he's a bit jealous. He'd love to give the guests a good sting.

Jax was fine till Zooble throw popcorn at him and he freaked out.

Ragz now has a constant dread of someone following her, paranoia to the max.

Does Gangle feel a certain for the crew? Like, how does feel about Pomni, Caine, Ragz, etc? (I'm just really curious)

Pomni: she likes her a lot, they're like sisters, especially since they are roommates and kinda have to get along. But Gangle is the ultimate wingman for Pomni and Caine, thinks the two are perfect for each other.

Jax: unapologetically hates, "if your going to be two faced at least make one nice"

Ragatha/Ragz: More neutral towards her, they don't interact her often, but when they do its civil

Kinger: He's like a dad, loves him

Caine: Like an older brother, Gangle relies on Caine for everything. The two are very very close, most people think they are actually related when they come in. Pomni did atleast.

Zoodle: very very close, their relationship is one built on years of shared interests and consideration. Gangle's only ever had one other person like that and he's... gone.

I'm just curious but what do you mean by Caine's Disfigurement? (from the last post)

During WWI Caine or David, as he was known at the time, was a Rifle expert in the trenches alongside French and British soldiers. In 1918 his platoon suffered a mustard gas attack by the Germans. Due to improper warning, he was unable to get his mask on in time and inhaled a deadly amount of mustard gas of which destroyed the lower half of his face.

Yes, if their actions affected the capsule in a negative light. ei. if they attacked a guest, failed to accomplish their duties or made someone else fail to do their tasks. No, if they kept it internal and it had no affect on the cash flow within the capsule.

Did Pomni have a good relationship with her parents? And since i'm asking this, how was the rest of the cast's relationships with their parents

Pomni had very supportive parents. Both were heavily involved in stem and encouraged her passion and pursuit in the field of material physics.

Gangle also had very supportive parents, however she pushed them away sometimes. Gangle had two lives, one "american" life and the other a "home" life. Both her parents were immigrants to America, a Mexican father and Japanese mother, so fitting in was hard. When she finally was able to make friends with people she worried about her parents 'embarring' her, so she wouldn't let them near her 'American" life. She loved them and they loved her, but she was too scared to embrace them in public

Jax is indifferent to his parents, they raised him so what? They were required to by law.

Ragatha was seen as a liberal annoyance to her parents. They loved her but didn't like her.

Kinger's were dead when he went into the capsule, but he loved his mom who raised him after the death of his dad.

Zoodle had a good relationship, talked to them every Sunday. Wrote letters every month.

By the time Caine entered the Capsule he had no parents. They shunned him after he lied about his age to serve in WWI and disowned him after his disfigurement.
