There is Power in a Union

I recently watch the film Pride. I found it incredibly moving and I actually felt bad that I didn’t already know the story behind it, particularly as my grandfather was a miner. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of films out there that deal with LGBTQ+ history in the UK and I wish I knew more. These people paved the way for me to be able to live the life I enjoy today and I feel guilty for not knowing more about them and their struggle. I feel a binge watch of LGBTQ+ reading and watching coming. After being very political and active in trying to make changes in the past, I got sick of the drama and the stress of it all and it takes a lot to get me fired up about these issues now, but that film really has. I really recommend watching it if you haven’t already.
