HI GUYZ! I'm Sharkz (he/him), and this is my art blog!

my main is @punk-sharkz-zero

I've been doing digital art for about 7 years now on and off, and I've recently gotten back into art for real this time and decided to make a blog about it and share some things!

I like to draw for fandoms, ocs, and just general bullshittery I find intriguing enough to doodle about

fandoms I draw for are, but not limited to: Star Wars, VSMP, Minecraft/MCYT just in general, and The Witcher

I also draw for my Mincraft & Star Wars ocs, as well as non fandom related original characters

I don't do commissions *yet* but once I get back into the swing of things I might open up some stuff, who knows!

earlier this year, to get me back into drawing, I did a challenge where I drew one Star Wars character every day for 102 days in a sketchbook. It wasn't anything high stakes, just a pencil drawing of any difficulty I wanted, as long as I drew that character.

I'd been thinking about digitizing my drawings, and I think I want to do that now. I won't be making one drawing per day, but I will digitize every drawing & post them along with the original pencil version in order.

Each post will be tagged with #102 days of Star Wars so each drawing can be found with ease.

(In case anyone was curious how I did the challenge, and wanted to do a similar challenge for themselves, I just made a list of X amount of Star Wars characters and put them all into a wheel and spun it each day)

anyway yeah, that's what will be coming to this blog! I'm hoping it can get me more comfortable posting and growing my art :D

I'll probably be posting things other than that, as I also am going to be drawing some stuff for a Clone Wars au I discussed on my main blog @punk-sharkz-zero but all in all there will be Lots of Star Wars going forward.

I've got one more attack post to make here, but overall I got to make 5 attacks, which is pretty good considering I haven't drawn very much for a couple years.

why is it actually so complicated to start commissions?? I'm getting all turned around when it comes to the financial part of it, so I'm gonna launch my questions into the Tumblr void in hopes of getting answers cuz I'm hella confused

1) ok so I got the digital payment platforms like Paypal, Venmo, & Ko-fi but how in the world do you link that to your own bank account. *Do* you link it to your bank account? I've seen people say they make a throwaway account with their bank and just transfer money out of it as a safety precaution, but idk

2) still related to digital payment, do people use their personal accounts or do they make business accounts to hide personal information? I personally don't want people to know my personal info so i'd likely opt for a business account, and if I do that, how does that work?

3) I am not anticipating I'll get bajillions of dollars in commissions right off the bat, but how in the world would you file that income on tax forms? I've not had to file taxes before so i'm not sure how that factors in

(for all intensive purposes, I am based in the US from an advice standpoint)
