Logan smiles and nods. He was happy from the response.
“Good to hear. I suppose becoming a Master can mean anything, depending on the person. Some think catching and recording all the Pokémon in the world in the Pokédex would make them a Master having met all existing species, some consider taking on every Pokémon League and becoming the World Champion, some think training them all makes them a Master. In my mind, a Pokémon Master can be anything a Trainer would want it to be. The eye of the beholder and all…” The older Trainer paces about. “And you are right about one thing. One way to understand another Trainer is through battle… which is why…” Logan brings out a Poké Ball, which was golden on the upper half, and begins to toss it in place in his hand as he stares at Ash. “…I kind of want to get to know you a bit more… and then in turn, you’ll get to know me a bit more.” He chuckles.
A wide grin spreads across Ash’s face as the pokeball is brought out. There’s something very familiar about the half golden ball, but he doesn’t allow himself to think on it much because the prospect of a battle is too exciting to focus on anything else.
“Now you’re talking!”
He pulls one of his own pokeballs from his belt; The pokemon contained was one of his newer friends, but had already proved itself to be powerful in battle. Pressing the button in the middle, Ash tossed the ball into the air as it grew in size and opened to release Dragonite.
“Then let’s both give it our all and get to know each other!”
Dragonite let out a happy cry as it landed, but at its trainer’s words it realized they were preparing for battle and quickly turned to face the opposing trainer, eyes narrowed in determination.
He chuckles.
“Well, aren’t we the eager one? Let’s make this a 3v3 yeah? This will give me an opportunity to see how these guys been doing in their training.”
He looks at the Dragonite and nods in amusement.
“You have yourself a pretty fine looking Dragonite. Let’s make this an interesting first round... Ono, you’re up!” Logan tosses the ball out, as it opens and reveals a Haxorus, giving a brief roar before eyeing the other opposing dragon, giving a light glare as he focuses on Dragonite.
“You can have this first turn. Come at us!”
Ono suddenly got into a more defensive stance, preparing for whatever Ash has Dragonite do.
