jharkhand's education system needs to be studied because how did we manage to turn going to school → getting educated → getting a job into a decades-long administrative crashout 😭
and no, this is not me blaming one government and calling it a day. this is decades of institutional failure. different governments, different ministers, different policies, same students getting cooked.
because look at the pipeline:
teacher shortage single-teacher schools insane pupil-teacher ratios poor foundational learning uneven infrastructure rural + tribal access gaps secondary-school bottlenecks terrible accessibility for disabled students digital divide private tuition filling holes the public system should be filling students falling off between educational stages
and THEN you get to higher education and employment and the state basically goes lmao good luck gang
getting a kid enrolled in school is not the same thing as educating them. you can have beautiful enrolment numbers while the actual classroom is understaffed, resources are shit and learning outcomes remain weak.
the teacher shortage alone is embarrassing. single-teacher schools still exist, and the pupil-teacher ratio gets even worse at higher levels. so the further a student progresses, the more the system starts giving “figure it out yourself” energy.
then there's the secondary-school problem.
elementary education exists → student reaches adolescence → suddenly access gets harder → transition rates fall → poverty, distance, migration and other barriers start doing numbers.
and if the school isn't adequately teaching you?
private tuition.
because obviously the solution to an underperforming public education system is for individual families to purchase the education the state failed to provide 💀
and THEN we reach JPSC/JSSC.
because apparently the state decided that after spending years trying to get students through an already dysfunctional education system, it would be really funny to make the recruitment system itself unreliable too.
JPSC has had years of controversies involving recruitment, evaluation, results, answer keys, interviews and examination irregularities. the 14th JPSC civil services examination became another massive controversy, with allegations around OMR sheets and examination irregularities leading to an SIT investigation and eventually cancellation of the exam.
JSSC has had its own mess, including the CGL paper-leak controversy, cancellation and reconduct.
and then people go:
“why do these students care so much about government jobs?”
because what the fuck else are they supposed to care about 😭
if secure formal employment is limited, government jobs become disproportionately important. people spend years preparing, pay for coaching, applications and travel, put their lives on hold, and then the examination process itself becomes questionable.
you cannot tell young people:
education is your way out of poverty ❤️
and then give them:
understaffed schools → weak learning → expensive tuition → limited higher-ed opportunities → unemployment → competitive exam → allegations of irregularity → cancellation → wait another year
like be serious.
and the class implications are huge too.
if you're wealthy, another year of coaching is annoying.
if you're poor, another year can mean another year of financial dependence, another year of unemployment, another year of your family spending money they don't really have.
that is why these aren't just “exam controversies.”
they're part of a much bigger education-to-employment failure.
and again: this isn't about pretending nothing has improved. enrolment has improved. some learning indicators have improved. infrastructure has improved in certain areas.
but decades of accumulated institutional weakness don't disappear because one metric went up.
the actual questions are still:
are there enough teachers?
are children actually learning?
can they access secondary education?
are schools functional and accessible?
can rural and tribal students realistically stay in the system?
can disabled students actually use the facilities?
can graduates find meaningful employment?
and when they compete for government jobs, can they trust the fucking examination process?
because the issue isn't that jharkhand has “bad students” or that young people are lazy or entitled.
the system has repeatedly failed to provide a reliable path from school → education → qualification → employment.
decades of governments have changed. the structural problems have simply remained employed. 😭
Hi my partner theorizes the bunny sometimes gets summoned to Stig’s eye socket like a familiar that helps him see, but personally i think he doesn’t even know it’s there cos that would be kinda funny
He’s got the interdimensional rabbit hole where his eye used to be and it leads to the bunny’s house or wikipedia.
okay, so, cool theory, but I might have to strike it down.
So, the nursery rhyme stig sings. It's about a hare trying to escape from a hunter (with the help of gnomes). Stig is PROBABLY galliard (aka werewolf skald/bard) which means it's likely he's invoking the song as a specific means to aid him in battle. The milk hare (what the spirit in his eye is) gives him agility and also probably summoned those creepy fresh gnome- I mean tomtegubbar.
Hey hold on. Amanda's last name is Bergamot. Quoth Wikipedia on the Bergamot Orange:
"Citrus bergamia, commonly known as the bergamot orange (pronounced /ˈbɜːrɡəmɒt/), is a fragrant citrus fruit the size of an orange, with a yellow or green colour similar to a lime, depending on ripeness. Genetic research into the ancestral origins of extant citrus cultivars found bergamot orange to be a probable hybrid of lemon (itself a hybrid between bitter orange and citron[3][4]) and bitter orange.[5] Extracts have been used as an aromatic ingredient in food, tea, snus, perfumes, and cosmetics.[6][7] Use on the skin can increase photosensitivity, resulting in greater damage from sun exposure.[6]"
"Use on the skin can increase photosensitivity, resulting in greater damage from sun exposure"
There's been much theorizing that there's still a ghoul in the Arcanum Chapterhouse, but I've mostly seen people pointing the finger at Grimal as the prime suspect. Is this meant to be a sneaky hint that Amanda is our ghoul? Or a red herring? Or is it just straight up unintentional because the writers thought this random word would make a cool last name?
Or maybe it might mean that Amanda is going to learn solar sorcery?

everyday i am reminded of how much this country hates women
haha idk i just think it's funny how my friend couldn't even come to college because of some other protests happening last year because they blocked a train station but then the mumbai police went so far as to put out an order against group gathering (you know, like with another extremely important indian historical event) just to prevent the neet protests thats sooooo funnnyyy
"historians will call them friends" buddy you're looking at this because of historians
"do your own research" good luck with paleographic analysis of the sources then
Ugh, look, fictional bigotry is, well not as substantial as real life bigotry but at what point do you reproduce real life bigotry so well you're just ctrl+fing your average right wing bigot's rhetoric?
All the fuss in the western countries teachers where they're lamenting not being able to see the creativity and thinking processes of the children and i can't stop thinking about the overcrowded classrooms and overwhelmed teachers here who themselves won't bother reading through your 'original' thought processes cause they have like 1000 other tasks pending.
we in our school were objectively worse than chat gpt cause we used to have these sets of question after each lessons that we had to answer as 'homework' and most of the time there were semi official guidebooks available from which we would just... copy the answers. And it was so accepted widely that the homework was just something that needs to be ticked, it's just a handwriting and obedience exercise of sorts. You don't need to think while writing and neither does the teacher while checking. While in school even the exam questions were also likely from one of these questions so it became even more imperative that you just... memorise the entire thing by heart and vomit on the exam. That's just how generations rolled.
I think we should figure out what age we’re living in now so we can say how it’s collapsing to each other
Our age of plastics is collapsing
Our age of information is collapsing! *remembers generative AI, nods to self* our age of information is collapsing.

Was gonna make a joke about garou being gaia's overactive immune system but then i looked it up and apparently there's an autoimmune disease where the "the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue in many parts of the body" (acc to wikipedia). Wanna fucking guess what it's called?
