Amelia Everdeen had always been a bright light in a dim world— long before she stumbled upon her destiny as a Warrior of Light. While she was a light in a crowd, and could not remember the strife in Doma that led her family fleeing for safety in the Ruby Sea, her older, nearly forgotten sister Morgan could remember it all to well. She was the quiet one in the corner that you could forget and not even realize she was there at all, her white eyes ever fixed on her sister. Always trailing after Amelia to clean up the messes she made by employing her darker talents that Amelia’s soft heart couldn’t bare. She hated living in her sister shadows, but gods help the man who crossed her path, that laid a finger on her sisters skin. She may not like Amelia, but liking family never really matters does it?

Something that is more important to me than anything else, is the love that Gabe and I share that is reflected in our characters. Before I started dating my husband, I had never played an MMORPG. The very idea of paying a subscription for a game was something I was not willing to do. But being introduced to a story with such depth, and a new world to explore with him, is what ultimately was the deciding factor for me to play FFXIV.

And it changed my life.

I have built friendships in this game that will last a lifetime. I have met people from states away through this game in real life who have become true friends that I would be lost without. But more importantly, it is my favorite way to spend time with my husband.

He was never one to make alts, but I always did to relive the story all over again. When he finally decided to create an alternate character, Lillith, playing out the roles of two young adventures in love is like experiencing falling in love with him all over again. Due to the holidays and work I have gotten behind with my writing but I am beyond excited to share the love story of Lillith and Amelia. 🥀🖤

While Amelia was born in the hills of Doma, life would not allow her to see the sun. Her parents, terrified by the hard hand of the Garlean Empire, fled to safety deep under the waters of the Ruby Sea. Praying to the Kami of the Deep, her family was granted the ability to breathe underwater and was accepted by the Kojin to join them in the harbor of safety of Tamamizu. While the water is home, Amelia yearns for a life in the sun.

Being the daughter of two of the sources most legendary adventurers has its perks— but Lillith wants nothing to do with it. A warrior locked inside a porcelain cage, Lillith has never been able to wrap her hands around the hilt of a blade, to feel the heavy weight of a shield strapped to her arm. Ands it’s all she has ever wanted.

Despite her parents wishes to keep her safe within the walls of Kugane, she slips away from her home— the life of safety that is the only one that she has ever known. Separating herself from the name of her parents and their legacy, she is determined to create one of her own.

Gabrael Blackrose is my husbands main character. He has played FFXIV since the days before A Realm Reborn. Gabrael is the quite kind of man that won’t say much until he lets you in. He isn’t afraid to stand up for a fight, to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Being a skilled GNB and omnicrafter, there isn’t much that he can’t do.

Natasha Blackrose was my first character on FFXIV and will always be my favorite in my heart. I began playing at the beginning of Heavensward. I have so many wonderful memories with her. During some of the darker parts of my life, being Natasha was my relief from the stress around me . With her I have met my best friends, and created a family full of wonderful people. I will always at heart be a raider, but my first love is writing, and since my carpal tunnell has prevented me from doing some hardcore content, I will be starting this blog in connection with my Instagram to share the stories of the characters of both my husband and myself.
