*Reluctantly, I stand up. I just stand there for a moment, looking at Eevee as I try to remember why I stood up. Waiting for her to say something, so I don’t look like a complete fucking dumbass who can’t remember something that happened 30 seconds ago.*

”Food” Eevee whispers, leading Yelena to the kitchen. She knows how it feels to disassociate, to be completely out of it. It happened to her a lot after she got out of the experimentation she’d endured

*Stumbling slightly, I follow her into the kitchen. I stand awkwardly in the doorway, not sure what to do.*

“Sandwich?” Eevee asks, clicking on the TV for background noise, then muttering to herself in French as she prepares a samdwich.

*I nod, then back up against the wall, needing something to lean on.*

Eevee hands her a sandwich and a bottle of water, then sits down at a barstool facing her. “So. Eat, then talk”

*I pick off little bits of the sandwich, reluctantly popping them into my mouth*
