Remember Amir Driver? Now that I've asked the question I will reiterate it as a proclamation: Remember Amir Driver! His brand new mixtape Til Next Summer just dropped and it's better than ever. I sat and listened to it front to back, track to track without ever pushing the skip button because that's how gripping it really is. Every track tells you a story and leaves you in anticipation for the next. Starting with "Summer in the City" which entails the not so sunny particulars of a hometown's embodiment all the way to the fun and upbeat illustration of "Summer Fling." Not to mention there's also a few mentionable features on this mixtape as well...but I can't give you everything. You gotta go check it out for yourself! YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED!

Y’all thought Catastrophic was done huh? Think again! She’s back with a brand new visual for her song “Scandal” and it’s pleasantly scandalous to say the least! Crooning us with the brazen lyric “You might not like it bet your man do” immediately made me want to channel my inner Olivia Pope persona. Not to mention the icing on the cake by adding Young Crazy’s boisterous lyricism.  Put this on heavy rotation in addition to her “DBYT” track and I guarantee you’ll find no hesitation in saying she’s one of the hottest female emcees around. By now I know everyone has heard the "Seen It All" joint by Jeezy well listen...you aint heard nothin yet! Sophisticated Easy took this beat, bodied it in the first verse, brung it back to life and then had K. Kash murder it in the 2nd verse. Let’s talk about this track “Stacy Adams” & look I know what you’re thinking “A 9 minute song? Fast forward let’s just get to the good part.” Here lies the lovely dilemma with that though…EVERY part of the song is the good part! This is what you call an effortless epilogue from the beginning to end & it’s worth every second.   Have you ever saw someone describe themself as an Audio Visionary? Thats the first line I read from the twitter of this artist - Jah Streetz and his title definitely holds true. This is the first artist I've heard in a while that doesn't have the subject matter of movin' dope and all the other typical stigmas you hear in music today. This is REAL hip hop. Ohhh Gawdddd! This is the first female artist I've featured here on theBlindSpot...and this definitely wont be the last! This artist goes by the name of Catastrophic and her rhymes are just that (in a good way). She is single-handedly, bar by bar giving me life & that might not be the proper journalistic adjective to use but I couldn't think of anything else to emphasize how much I love this song & visual. Its called "DBYT" (Don't Bite Your Tongue) Check her out and see for yourself!
