my mom has every Hannibal book.

she lended them to me. physical books are so nice, holding it in my hand. I'm reading silence of the lambs. fun read currently at chapter 7. being always so busy it's hard to get time to read. and it's killing me not being able to read right now.

I've never read the book so I'm excited!

timeline wise this would be around the point of Hannibal rising.

instead of being kidnaped, the family is trapped hiding within the walls of castle Lecter. due to the war and constant worsening weather. slowly being left with emergency rations, but Hannibal refuses to eat what he calls "egregious" in quality food. with the struggle of his father coming up empty handed when it came to hunting, Hannibal takes it in his own hands to find proper food.

Hannibal is found long time later, almost completely given in to frostbite, what's left of the family is just bone. the food was only short lived and desperate cling to his original high-society life. leaving him without company, protection or warmth. his impulsive desire for the high life almost leaving him into a frozen hellscape.

funnily enough no, I have terrible hindsight.

its based on the movies and what animals matched most with the personalities.

just so happens that a bunny and fox was the answer.

might go more in-depth about it later.
