A letter to Myself: Self Love Letter
Dear Me,
As I sit down to write this love letter to myself, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and love. You, my dear self; are a constant source of strength, resilience, and love. You are always there for me even in the toughest and darkest of time. You have been through so much in your life, and you have always managed to come out on top of the mountain, on the other side of being stronger, and more resilient than ever before. You have weathered countless storms, and you still managed to find joy and beauty in life's little moments. Your ability to find the good in even the toughest situations is truly inspiring and remarkable. You have a heart of gold that is overflowing with love and compassion for others. You are self-less. You go out of your way to help others those in need, and your kindness as well generosity are a true gift to those around you. You are a beacon of light in the world, and your love has the power to change lives. You have a beauty that radiates from within. Your smile, your laugh, your essence lights up the room and warms the hearts of those around you. Your inner beauty is a true reflection of the goodness and kindness in your heart. You are strong, beautiful, and full of love. You are a true gift to the world, and I am so grateful to have you in my life. I promise to always be kind and gentle with you, to honour your needs and desires and to always treat you with the love and respect that you deserve. You are worthy of love and happiness. I am committed to helping you find both in your life. I want you to know that you are loved, cherished, and appreciated. You are a true gift from God in this world, and I am so thankful to have you in my life. I am truly sorry that there were nights when you cried yourself to sleep and no one bothered to understand why. Tears are only temporary, never permanent.(I know even today, perhaps you are crying as you read this from your future self's point of view.)
Please do not give up and don't let those fears consume you, Unwelcome intrusion into your mind, and don't let fear prevent you overcoming anything you wish to accomplish or achieve in life. This may sound corny or strange. (Whatever you may want to call it). You may not know me, but I believe in you and have faith in you. Because ever since I can remember, it has always been you navigating against the big bad world and you've never stopped being resilient.
because I'm whipped, so time to hit the sheets; even though I have no idea how I’m supposed to sleep next to my blanket-stealing, snoring monster of a boyfriend (Welcome to my insomnia-filled life. Who even needs sleep, am I right? It's probably overrated anyway.)
