Obviously all blogs are on hiatus until I return.
The after show was commencing. The Hosts and their âworkersâ had managed to satisfy the audience for yet another round, and now, the path to the vault was vacant. Safe of footsteps music, screams.
Instead, the activity was replaced by the skittering of countless legs along the grates of the ground as Interitus and its recent clutch finished up their job, gaining a meal from it as well.
It lifted its head at the presence of a passerby, the eyes placed along its body fixing upon the crooked as well.
A series of clicks echoed across the room, audible through the hissing steam of opened pipes as it communicated. Then, registering that the person was still mentally present, he rolled his shoulders, speaking in the learned tongue.
âAh, Sherman, was it?â
He hummed, the plates along its back shifting with each movement of its segments.
No comment on his state was made. Not even the slightest acknowledgment. It was unclear if it knew of the document, of the consequences its speciesâ existence has.
Sherman wasn't even paying attention he is just staring at the wall flipping a coin a he found in his hands.

*Lemon finally asked, her eyes absently searching the ground. She had been holding him for a good solid time now, not having bothered counting the minutes of his distress.*
*She tipped her head back, looking up at him. Her normally cold eyes painted with empathy. She hadnât loosened her grip on his leg, keeping him in the hug. Her own pain was dulled by her growing concern for him.*

She asked, eartufts perking at the mention of a solution. Her eyes seemed to light up a little.
"... Lemon I'm not getting out of this alive... If I'm gonna die I want to die by my own terms and still be... Well me..."
The joy immediately left her face. Her eartufts drooped again as her eyes searched his for any sign or hint at him joking.
âOhâŠâ Despite everything in her body screaming at her to try to convince him otherwise, to keep going, she knew that this was⊠really out of her control or her say.
âO-okay. I get it. Thatâs understandable⊠I support you.â
A few moments after saying that, she nodded, as if confirming with herself. Lemon quickly wiped her face, brushing away any semblance of pain.
"I'm... I'm so sorry... I am so so so very sorry..." He says trying to comfort Lemon.
âNo⊠ShermanâŠâ
Lemon began, forcing a larger grin to tug on her perpetual one. Though, noticeably, the smile never met her eyes.
âItâs not your faultâŠâ Lemon promised, breath seeming shaky.
âIâm okay,â Lemon paused, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment. Donât cry donât cry dontcrydontcry. âJust donât worry about me, âKay?â
"... I know this hurts but I don't think hiding that pain will do either of us any good in the long run. Lets just enjoy the time while we've got it yeah?" He says trying to give her some sort of hope.
âNo, Iâm fine.â
Lemon insisted, wiping her face again, after a couple breaths, she continued.
âY-yeah⊠is there anything I can do for you..?â
"You've done more than enough for me. How about you? Anything ya need?"
Lemonâs brow furrowed as she slowly looked to Sherman, blinking as if he were insane.
âI havenât done jack shit.â
She huffed, only responding to the second part by clambering up his side, curling around his back to settle down on his shoulder, pressing her cheek to his head.
"Well lets see... You asked me on a date, give me a chance at love, given me company despite my impending insanity, and supported me throughout our relationship. As cheesy as it is you've changed my life Lemon... Changed it for the better"
Lemon paused, eyes unreadable as she considered.
âYeah⊠I⊠guess I did. Iâm just⊠I donât know. I donât get with people because it means getting attached⊠It bites me in the ass.â
She struggled to string her words together, eyes searching the ground as she blindly reached up to fix his beret.
"Okay maybe in this case but I suppose in a way love is a risk and sometimes it hurts but perhaps its the good moments in-between that make up for it? I don't know I'm just making this up on a spot really heh"

*Lemon, who hadnât returned for a questionable number of days, was slowly making her way back to where she and Sherman usually met up.*
*Now that she was actually moving again, she kind of regretted not taking another day to recover from that unsuccessful attack laid on her. Which seemed⊠suspiciously targeted. Didnât die, but definitely did quite a bit of damage. She readjusted the bandages on her arm, alert for any sign of danger. She fixed her hair, hoping it would hide any other injuries she sustained that werenât necessarily in need of too much care.*
âHallo?â
*She called, her steps soundless against the cracked concrete below. She squinted upon not receiving a response, turning into the side room with him.*
*The concern completely left her face as she saw him inside. She didnât really process what he was doing or looking at, seemingly completely oblivious.*
âBig guy, you in there?â
*She tapped her head in her gesture, leaning against the wall with a smirk.*

He just slides the document regarding him over to Lemon.
"... Just... Read it..."
*Lemon arches a brow, eyes attempting to search his. She pushed off the wall, giving him a suspicious glance as she walked over, leaning against the crate the document was set on.*
*The light left her already intimidating eyes the further she got into the text. Judging by how many times she had to reread text, she obviously had trouble making words out. By the end of it, he could tell something inside her had snapped. Something unreadable. However, all she said wasâŠ*
âI didnât know you had a dog.â
"You saw what it said at the end..."
His whole demeanor is just sad and defeated. He is probably still processing all of this information.

*She mumbled, picking herself back up. She closed her eyes for a couple seconds, and he swore her colours grew paler. After said moment, she opened her eyes again, forcing her usual grin to hopefully comfort her partner too. She slowly lifted herself to the tallest she would get, giving Sherman the best hug she could. Given her height, it was mostly her just hugging his leg, but the force behind her arms said it all.*
âYouâre gonna be okayâŠâ
*The tone that was spoken in seemed⊠more to convince herself than him.*
"I ain't... I can't find a single damn document down here about whatever the hell this THING is!" He points to the parasite on his head.
"I don't even know if I'll be in control during or after whatever the hell a 'Cocoon' stage is! Urbanshade is willing to NUKE this place to prevent it and considering how desperate they are to get that crystal the mere fact they are willing to risk its destruction is enough for me to fill in the gaps of what this thing might do... I am scared Lemon. I am so FUCKING SCARED!" He clutches his head.
"I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME AND I'M SCARED" He
