A deity’s blood tastes most foul to any creature of the blood sucking persuasion (Dark childes’, Vampires etc) Though the blood is absolutely delicious, with a smell of raw sewage, not many beings tend to risk it. Or can stand to.

Females tend to retain memory 60% better than Males after a transition. It’s not known why this is but possibly because of the sympathetic nature of women. A feature shared even by the female Goddess.

The Transition

                  The Gods have been watching. Not from Mt Olympus but from somewhere much different. They see all and find themselves favouring certain mortals. Much like Athena's favouritism of Hercules or Aphrodite's protection of Aeneas. These Gods' and Goddess' Find themselves meddling in the affairs of humans. Though on a different scale altogether. Certain human's have become blessed by the gods and find themselves human. Some may remember their past life, others may forget it completely. They a given knowledge of a binding Oath in which they must follow, and are gifted with certain abilities.                   There are two way for a human to become a Reincarnated Divinty and both require the favour of an Elder. The Elder's of course being the original Deities themselves. The processes occur as follows:

                                                                 -A Second Chance

When a Mortal favourited by the god is on death's door. The Elder will take the life into their grasp, and breathe their power into the human. The process may sound simple enough but it is painful while the body adjusts and soaks up the abilities and immortality now given to them. This form of transformation tends to lead to complete memory loss where the being is only aware that they were once mortal, but they have no memory of this time. They are essentially the same person, same occupation, same life, but they do not remember much other than The Oath, and their names.

                                                                  -Being Unlocked

This process may only be done with the aid of an Angel Of Death. The Mortals who undergo this process are often chosen from birth by the gods, perhaps with some lineage back to the Deity. This process is much more painful and happens at a certain stage in the lives of those chosen, when their bodies are a peak physical condition and can handle the transformation. These being's tend to keep some human memories and traits. It is often harder for them to keep the secret and control their abilities. They find as humans that they have influence over their respective Elder's domain though often never connect the dots. This process maybe less painful due to their abilities being present throughout their lives, though the standard pain of immortality being bestowed is to be expected.

The Oath

It is unwritten, and not an oath we all agree to per-say. But it is a way of being God’s among mortals.To break This Oath is to throw ourselves into exile, To strip us of our powers, our immortality.  We were blessed with these bodies, with this existence. A mere shadow of our predecessors, they learned their lessons from their greed, their betrayals, their mistakes. They lost control of this earth and now they have gifted us with the touch of their Grace. This Oath was to protect their legacy and prevent their loss of control again. Or at least that’s what we are lead to believe.

               -A deity may not cause the death of a fellow deity. Though Violence occurs                 frequently, to kill each other is punishable by extreme torture, exile, and                 loss of immortality

               -Deity’s powers are forever null and void on others of their kind.

               -A deity is forbidden to covet the lover of a fellow deity. Sharing may occur                 with the permission of the concerned party, but theft of one’s lover leaves                 the thief open to punishment decided upon by the wronged party; so long                 as it does not conflict with the first point.

               -Any blood oath made by a deity shall be honored with no exceptions. One                 should therefore be thoughtful when entering an agreement of this nature.                  Breaking the terms of this agreement, without permission from concerned                  parties may result in exile and loss of immortality.

               -Exposing a fellow deity will result in immediate exile and shall be stripped                 of immortality. Should another already know, this is fine. One must tread                  with care, and be sure they are not exposing a fellow deity, when entering                 conversations with another.

These are the five principle rules in which all gifted must obey. We know the price to pay for breaking these rules. No one gets such power without some form of responsibility.
