The Double Heart Network

What is the Network? The Double Heart Network is a web of Doctors (that’s me, my past and future selves) and my companions who provide support and advice for you and eachother. When traveling in all of space and time, sometimes I can’t be there when I’m needed. But maybe, just maybe another version of me can be. That’s basically the network. You can go to any of those in the network for advice or for comfort and in return, the network supports eachother. We’re saving the universe, one life at a time.

@the-old-man-has-the-phonebox is feeling extremely down on themselves. Take caution as the mun feels people only care once they are threatening to hurt themselves. Perhaps the fandom can prove otherwise by not only trying to help now but also showing they care at other times as well.

To the mun: if you wish for this alert to be taken down, we gladly will if you ask. Someone wants us to put out an alert to help but we understand if you would rather the alert disappear.

Really, your motives are totally admirable, and if someone comes to you themselves wanting help, by all means, help them. I think the issue is that someone who's upset getting spammed by a bunch of strangers, even positively, could easily feel humiliated and even more upset. You might be safer having a list of people who DO want that support rather than a list of people who have to specifically ask not to, by which point the damage is already done.

Guardian Admin: Hello there Nonny, different admin here. I read your messages and NoOneUnimportant Admin’s responses. This is the kind of constructive criticism we need to make this blog better, not simply telling us what we did wrong and saying you’ll report us. 

As NoOneUnimportant Admin said, we are rebooting this blog after a long period of inactivity, and are bound to make some mistakes as we get things up and running. Reporting us, and possibly having this blog taken down before we have a chance to make a positive impact on the community, helps no one.

Basically, I think the other anon disapproves not that there are triggers/sensitive material, but that it's SOMEONE ELSE'S sensitive material being posted without their permission, which could make an upset person even more upset.

Then I will be doing my utmost to report this blog, I'm afraid. Information about people's abuse and triggers is a very serious matter isn't yours or that of other nonnies to share.

NoOneUnimportant Admin: We will go ahead and delete the ask, and ask others to delete it. We are just starting back up, so we are bound to make mistakes. Please forgive us, especially if you happen to be the one the signal boost was for. If any triggers are included in an anon, we will make a separate signal boost that does not include it. There are plenty of people who found these signal boosts helpful back when this blog was active before, and I’m sure there are many who will find them helpful now. We are working to make this experience helpful for everyone, and will continue to try and improve anything we can. We hope perhaps you’ll see that we are only trying to help, and instead, go report blogs that are trying to hurt on purpose, unlike us.

Please stop posting personal info re: people's triggers, any crises they may be having, abuse they've suffered, or ask people to spam their inboxes without their consent. While I know you're trying to do good you're releasing sensitive information onto the internet about people that may leave them embarrassed, anxious, or deeply affected by people knowing about their mental health issues. It may also create stigma for them in the community from those who don't understand. Please just stop.

NoOneUnimportant Admin: We are planning to get this a lot more organized. Thank you for your suggestion, though some people may speak of what their problems are to possibly give people the ability to give the one who needs help a more personalized approach, and to know what sensitive subjects to avoid or talk out in their encouragement. If anyone wishes for a post to be taken down, we will cooperate and also send messages to everyone who has reblogged to try and get it removed entirely. We are also setting up a list of anyone who doesn’t want to have signal boosts posted about them, to avoid causing any trouble for those who don’t want help. If you wish not to receive signal boosts (or if you don’t want your problems spoken of if there is a signal boost) please let us know and we will keep track of it and try to make this experience as helpful and non-intrusive as possible.
