Fireworks || Evan & Will
âItâll be fun for you! Iâm the one whoâs going to have to shield four pairs of eyes with one pair of hands when your limbs are flying everywhere like confetti,â he huffed, talking quietly enough so that the kids couldnât hear so that he didnât freak them out. Will chewed his bottom lip, not really knowing what to say. Heâd just wanted to make sure that they knew that he and Evan werenât together, because he wanted to avoid any awkward encounters. But still, hearing Ev say that he was still in love with him made him smile slightly, even if the fact did only go to make the situation between them even more complicated. He brought himself back down to Earth after a moment, nodding slowly, âOkay. I just, yâknow.. I didnât want to say something and end up saying too much. Theyâre going to be the ones left consoling me when you end up blowing yourself up tonight so, I just wanted to know what they knew about me,â he said firmly, hoping that if he went on about unhappy the situation with Evan lighting the fireworks made him then maybe the older man would see sense.
âI promise that my limbs wonât go flying everywhere,â Evan swore, a small grin quirking his lips- knowing that Will still cared about him that way made him feel good. âAnd if I do, you can have my house. I swear.â A lazy smile spread across his face as he turned onto the street his friend lived on, a small contented sound escaping him. âBrynn and Dalton will console you, I promise. I mean theyâll need consoling too, so you can all take care of each other.â He pulled into the femaleâs driveway, parking easily and getting out, walking around to the back and helping Dalton out of his carseat. âCan you help Brynn out of her carseat, babe?â The endearment slipped out of his lips without even realizing it, but he didnât correct himself, lifting his nephew into his arms.
