Did a warm up mile on the treadmill, and then did my second mile at 7:30...so I’m gonna give myself the benefit of the doubt and say I can run a 7-minute mile haha. Goal time: 6:00. Legooooo

Yea so I gave up on posting while I was at uva since I didn’t bring a laptop and posting longish stuff on mobile sucks.
I’m so excited to get other people excited about bjj :DD Monday is Karen’s first BJJ class at Columbia. Currently gi shopping with Alice since she’s joining CMU’s grappling club...basically the conclusion I must come to is that uvaislamesincetheyhavenobjj. Butttt Emily’s motivated to lift in the morning, Christine wants to lift too (?), and maybe even Michelle? But Michelle said if she visited Princeton she wanted to come check out BJJ :) Also, while I was checking out Charlottesville BJJ, apparently Peyton and Frank swung by the apartment and this conversation went down:

Haha yea I’m actually pretty weak tho...My goal is to be able to bench my body weight...by the end of the school year? Lol idk how reasonable of a goal that is. Well at the beginning of freshman year I was like 100 pounds. At the end of the year I could bench 95. Problem is, at the end of the year, I was 130 XD Now, I’m almost 135...but I could only bench 85.
It’s okay! As long as I put in the effort, shit will happen. (I hope)
Also I felt a little better, maybe at Princeton I always lift with powerlifters so I feel super weak, but when I was squatting, the guy next to me was doing the same weight as me... ... . And I really can’t squat that much.......
Anyway! I think it’s good to work out with people stronger than you (sorry to the people I work out with then, for being weak/slow...I have a sparkling personality? XD) So I try to lift with powerlifters and run with cross country people.
It’s bad for my self-confidence but good for my strength/stamina (hopefully).
Breakfast: Fage yogurt with that Qia stuff sprinkled on top and a banana sliced in, a whole banana with Qia sprinkled on top, almonds, and corn.
Got home and had fish, wings, almonds, peanuts, apple, and 2 grapefruits for lunch.
Went to the gym for a quick arm day, didn’t do much since I didn’t have much time before jiu jitsu.
Got back from the gym and had one of those edamame packs from costco (bought them to bring to school for snacks hehe), a peach, and a grapefruit
Went to jiu jitsu, had a blast, and came home to lie in bed and do nothing.
First full day at uva! Went lifting with emily and christine this morning :) Squat dayyy I only got through like half my usual routine bc neither of them has lifted in a while (and christine at all, so kudos to her for coming with me :*) It was super fun and im glad both of them like lifting :) Snack before lifting: 2 bananas Lunch: stuff from the whole foods buffet...I remember fish, eggs, beans, and broccoli Dinner: Fage greek yogurt omg new fav, that fancy hemp seed mix i had before and really liked, banana, pistachios, and carrots Video game break snack: banana and cashews Pre-bed snack: clementine, soy milk Imma try to go run tomorrow..I wanna get faster and I think two days is enough rest ;)
Day 4 (Saturday, September 5th)
Haha, does anyone else wake up to the buzz of your phone and then lie in bed alternatively answering texts and falling asleep? Don’t let your electronics ruin your beauty sleep! (Unless it’s an alarm clock for class in which case you better move your ass gurl) If you have an iPhone, under settings there’s a “Do not disturb.” During the school year I have that scheduled to be on from 8:30pm-6:00am. So, during that time I won’t get any notifications, and I can focus on studying and sleeping :)......what can I say I’m a nerd who likes her beauty sleep
Anyway I got tired of laying in bed feeling like a bum, so I walked downstairs and proceeded to eat chicken wings in my underwear.
I’m not going to go for a run today to rest my (achilles ?) I googled my symptoms and apparently you stress out your achilles if you haven’t run in a while and your calves aren’t used to going the distance (Disney reference ;D). They say it might also happen if your shoes aren’t supportive enough (If you don’t run a lot, your ankles and everything aren’t as strong, so you need more supportive shoes...on the other hand if you always wear supportive shoes your ankles and everything won’t get stronger so *shrug*) I’ve also been heel hooked on that foot a lot lately, so who knows? Combination of things.
Anyway, I’m off to the gym for bench dayy

Benched + accessories and some abs...had good intentions of either rowing or hitting the bag to get some cardio in, but it turns out even though I say I don’t like running, it’s my favorite solo cardio activity XD Maybe after I do a little more muay thai I’ll like hitting the heavy bag a little more cuz I’ll have more to do/have a purpose, but for now I’m too n00by to go at it.
Lunch: Pumpkin and fish
Now off to shower and change and pack and buy underwear. Wow that’s the second time I’ve mentioned underwear in this one post. Sorry if this is uncomfortable but we all need it.
