Hello to whoever’s reading this or maybe just go on ahead and scroll. But if you do want to stay, I would like to introduce myself and talk about the purpose of this blog. This will most likely be my first post, so I’m sorry if it’s quite dull. I’m a 20 year old girl who is trying to find her place in the world. Actually, that sounds a bit cheesy. I’m actually just trying to find a place where I can rant or shed light on topics that I’m interested in or am curious about. This is why I think this blog could be a good start for me. If you read the description above, you would know that this blog will talk about various topics such as pop culture, lifestyles, music, social media and different perspectives etc. I would like to say that what I post is based on my opinions ,interpretations and/or research that I find on what the topic is. Sometimes when I talk about celebrities or certain types of people it is not meant to offend them, it is just to take a further look into their lives. Anyways I hope you enjoy my posts and this blog in general.

Hi LTAI! Do you still upkeep this blog? Hopefully. I wanted your input on the "discourse" going on another mgk tumblr (TFQ) and some are saying mgk doesn't have enough or any black girls in his vids [or around him anymore.] Which I have noticed & it does suck (I'm black, have liked his music for over a 10 yrs now). I did like in his Beauty vid w/ Trippie he had a black girl & Sopranos too. In girl next door there's one but in the new everything tatted nada. Sucks bc we like tats too! :(

I do check up on this blog from time to time. I sort of been taking long breaks for personal reasons that I don't think I am ready to share just yet. Since I want to say like 2025 or even before that I have been distancing myself from Mgk. I did listen to the Lost americana album which the only song I liked from that is Can't stay here but other than I have not really had the interest to check in on him and what's going on with his career.

Just recently, like a few days ago I have been paying attention to the yungblud/mgk discourse(if u guys want to send ask, about my opinion on that, i'm more than happy to get into that).

As for the discourse you mentioned of him not having black women in his videos or around him of late. I don't really think it is my place to speak for how black women/fans of his feel of this, especially becuz I am not too informed on this particular discourse.

However, I don't think he is racist or purposely excluding POC from his videos. At least, I hope this is not the case.

I'd be cool with this if she hadn't just become the mom to a daughter. It's not a good example for her future older daughter to see 😬

To be fair, I don't think she did this to spite him. If I'm correct, he commented something about how he has her number or something so I'm taking that as he was being thirsty and hyping her comeback.

I think this photoshoot was more of an attention grabber post rather than anything and to show off her new dump truck she got (I just knew she was going to come back with a bbl).

I also don't agree with your last statement. Just because she is a mom of a girl does not mean a woman can't be sexy anymore, I mean look a Kim K, yk.

That being said, I do think she wanted to come back when the time was right, aka when her surgeries were all completed and she could get praised for bouncing back after pregnancy. Which if we want to go into that whole topic of how women who have babies are expected or are given this pressure to get their bodies "right" soon after they give birth, is kind of sexist propaganda and I think is kind of stupid to put that expectation on them. And dare I say, I kind of hold celebrity mothers accountable on this topic, just because they kind of set or uphold this standard of if you had a baby, you have to make sure your body is bangin and hot or else your lazy and a failure to motherhood blah blah.

Lost Americana Review

This review is going to be my thoughts/notes I took on each track:

Outlaw overture: The part two was better, His singing was good on it. However, I did not really connect with but it's ok for an opener and it reminded me of the opening of Mainstream sellout at least the concept of it did.

Rank: 5/10

Cliche: Dancing was cringe and I was surprised he would do choreo with his music. But u know to each their own. It seemed a very tame MV compared to his others with love interest or women. The song is very made for the TikTok algorithm. It still a pretty decent and one of the songs I did like. Lyrics I hate was "I like that like you like me. ( he could de better let be real)

Rank: 7/10

Don't wait run fast: Liked rock element. I do wonder if he will be able to not ruin his voice with singing this song on tour. He uses yeah yeah a lot, maybe he couldn't think of any more lyrics. Favorite song tho.

God damn: Casket with guns and roses line was kind of cheesy. The beginning was good, the rest of it don't really care for, I like the guitar and music.

Vampire Diaries: I don't like music video at all, very cringe. The dance break is when he really lost me. My sis pointed out that he's just doing the steps not really dancing them. It's like this one and cliche were meant for the charts, TikTok, mainstream.

Miss sunshine: Don't like MV, could have had a better concept, same goes for overture outlaw. The song itself is pretty, gives summer vibe with friends. With a better video and support, this should have been like the second single or promoted better than cliche and vampire diaries, Coca cola line was cheesy. It also seems like a last-minute music video. Outro of song was whatever.

Indigo: His is trying to rap? Weirdly gives Hollywood hore or lately? But like the temu/cheap version. I think this song is him letting his thoughts out, so there's that. My sister says this song does not really fit with the rest of the album.

Treading water: don't care for it. I wish the background vocals was better mixed well, Idk I feel like I forgot it was there, then they would sing and I would be like oh shit I forgot about you. The context of the song, don't care for it either.

Orpheus: Writing credits and getting inspo from her cheap poetry is crazy work lol. My sister and I agreed it sounded like Eternity or ordinary by alex warren. It's cute Tho. I noticed that for MS and this album, he has this habit of putting this sad/Megan connected song at the end to sort of gain sympathy, maybe I'm doing too much.

Although I liked some songs (4/13) to be exact, I don’t know if it’s enough for me to say this is a really good album. I definitely would not say this is his best work. The first half of the album was good but once we started until their whole relationship songs again, I lost interest. Although, I did like the song Can’t Stay here. I also feel like some of the lyrics were not the best and were kind of cringy or very generic. And I know this man can weave some good words together to make a beautiful verse, so I don’t know what’s going on there. Perhaps, he spent too much time writing in pop punk that it watered down his lyrics or he has to watch what he says a lot. Idk. The dancing was cringe; music videos were average at best. I also feel like and maybe you guys can have a different outlook on this, but I feel like he did not really promote this album or his single as much. Like I think the most I saw was for cliche and him being like song of summer, woo and tweeting stuff but that’s it.

To be fair, it could either be that this is the new him or he is just struggling and is confused on how to write music without the help from substances and being in low, dark points of his life, Also I thought he was going to put fucking lonely road in this it, but I guess not. 

But y'all let me know ur guy’s thoughts on the album. :)

Hey LTABI! I asked asks months ago you never posted :(! But any who wanted to know your opinion on lost americana. The only new song I've listened to so far is outlaw overture which I do like. It's getting mixed reviews from fans - I'm guessing the older fans (OG EST) don't like it so much and newer Mainstream and beyond fans like it. He's been doing a lot of interviews lately, any thoughts?????? Well, hope you are well! And get this tumblr back going again :)

I apologize for my breaks on this blog, I have been just dealing with life I guess, and I also just did not really care or have the motivation, I guess. But I am planning on getting active again on here but yeah.

Anyways, I have listened to the album when it first came out last week I think and I have just relistened to it again, I'm currently working on a post talking/reviewing the album. So i'll probably post that in a bit. I also am going to watch that podcast he did and his other interviews them and I'll post about that too.

If he wants to play Emo Kidz Bop Lana Del Rey meets a little bit of Cowboy Carter Beyoncé—fine, I guess. But I better see that unreleased Lana track on that tracklist, or we riot. If you're gonna serve us the same tired aesthetic on a paper plate, at least give us one damn gourmet snack.

I feel like were either going to get Lana on it, since she went all country tradwife core now or were not. Even if we do get it, I feel like it's not going to be the unreleased but a whole different song. I'm pretty sure lonely road is going to be on this album.

Idk if some of u are feeling like this but I really don't care for this album like I feel like I have to mentally prepare myself to go into listening to it with little to no expectations. I'm going to try to get my younger sister to listen to it with me, just so I don't have to go through it alone but also for another outside opinion.

Like I'm trying to hold back my opinions or true thoughts of what I feel like this album is going to be. But I know it's best to just wait till it's released b4 making any judgements. Cuz who knows it could be his best work.? eh.

Blade Baker would’ve sounded great. Even Blake Baker has a nice ring to it. But of course, this is a future nepo baby—we couldn’t expect a simple name. It had to be long, overly complicated, and start with the celeb mother’s surname. You’d think the whole PR relationship would’ve been enough, but apparently not. Now they’re not only keeping up the performance, they’re setting this child up as a future brand. Imagine being brought into the world just to secure the bag, uphold a PR-driven household, and be pushed into an entertainment career you’ll have no real choice but to pursue. I feel like it’s going to end up like Will Smith’s kids—his firstborn with his former partner is a genuine, well-grounded young man, and it even seems like Will gets along with him more. But the ones he had with Jada Pinkett? A whole mess.

I don't think her name is the worst celeb baby name I've heard but I don't know if I like it (not that my opinion on it matters anyways). I just feel like it's four words bunched together: Saga (makes me think of twilight saga), Blade, Fox, Baker.

Also, Idk about y'all but I just knew the baby was going to get some crazy name that was either like rock/alternative aesthetic or some ethereal, spiritual name. I mean, Saga's mom is Megan, what did we expect. Also considering how Megan named her sons, she always gave that she preferred unique name combos.

I also kind of knew or felt they were going to give this baby girl a real CELEB baby name, just because of who her parents are and how they love the headlines. Even before she was born, M and C always talked about her as this celestial goddess/princess moon spirit. They knew that they would have to give her a name that would hold up to that narrative.

Out of all her siblings, she is the child that is going to unfortunately, grow up in the spotlight or at least the headlines, in interviews, and Colson's music. At least, more so than her siblings did, because to some extent the other kids had some sort of privacy or weren't being talked about like crazy. A lot of people didn't even know Casie or Megan's boys existed at one point.

Maybe I'm looking too deep into this but his caption he put thank you for the ULTIMATE gift Megan. It could be simply he was thankful for Megan for giving him another child to love but also "Ultimate", to me was like what about Casie? Idk, I could be doing too much.

I am curious to see how Saga grows up and what type of nepo will she be. Or will she be like no to the spotlight and all of Hollywood and just go live a normal life. Or r they going to try and push her to be in the industry like a model, actress like mom or music artist like dad.

This is moving a little off topic, but I never understood why Celebs name their kids crazy. names They name them either after objects or like pet names. Like they do realize they are naming living breathing humans, right?

Lfmao. You reminded me of when they were talking about kids and he abruptly said, "NO, we already have five between us." At the time, there were actually only four—unless, in his twisted logic, he was also counting the child the in the walls girl had after him... but still.

The fact that this pregnancy was unplanned (which we’ve been saying since before they even announced it—lol—but a certain fandom tried to use him making a wooden boat as "evidence" to the contrary) just makes it all funnier.

I'm not saying he minds having two daughters... I think by now he’s come to terms with the idea, even if he hasn't had much opportunity to actually live with both under the same roof. Maybe now that it’s summer, that could change—but Casie has a day job, and I doubt she’d want to take time off just to visit her dad and deal with calming down her crying “little sister” or be the one he unloads her on.

But I bet he would absolutely lose it if he had to live in a house with ALL of her children. Casie would end up becoming his unofficial trauma dump therapist, and she doesn’t deserve that. She deserves peace in Cleveland, with her mom and mother's side.

I still to this day, don't think it was unplanned at least from her perspective. Just because I remember her saying how her body was not capable of carrying a child and then a couple months later she pregnant, Idk. I also think it's weird that she would tell us that part, like why does it matter if it was unplanned, she could have just said a surprise or secret blessing.

For sure if all the kids lived together with him and M, it would be an absolute mess. I don't think they would fight in front of the children, but I'm sure as Casie would be the oldest daughter/child she would know and be aware and then become into the third parent and shield to the younger kids. And I do not think she deserves to be in a house like that.

Predictions: One of these two options.

1.They’re probably going to have a wedding similar to Barker and Kardashian’s—sponsored, with brand deals, labels involved, and maybe even a TV show.

2.OR He’s likely going to spend several months on a big tour, and for about 95% of the dates, he’ll be with his new daughter and her mom—sharing behind-the-scenes content, onstage moments, and possibly even doing a docuseries, similar to what Pink did.

I don't know about marriage with them, but who fucking knows?

I can definitely see and feel that he is already trying to lean more into the family man narrative/role. If I'm correct the album is called Lost American or something so he could be playing into these whole traditional American values like family, God etc.

It's like he's forcing himself to be this pep-pier (is that a word? Peppy) version of himself and we all know of his mental health struggles. I sometimes can't believe this is mgk. I understand that he was heavily intoxicated/into his addictions and struggling really badly with his mental health. But there are parts, even in that time that did not have to go.

It's like when your favorite youtuber or band/artist move to LA and/or start popping off and ur like Oh, I know what's coming. Your favs start not posting or only posting when it's a sponsor, their music become lazy or overly played, or the tickets become so absurdly expensive that u have to either support from afar or move on.

This could just be me, but why do I feel like if he never met M or only had her in that MV and that was it, TTMD/MS still would have been successful. I feel like that would have been better because then he could have connected more with new fans and also be freer.

Girls, Young women could have thirsted after this man without being like Oh wait we can't because he's with QUEEN MEGAN FOX. He also could have been dating multiple women and having true chemistry, been more his wild, creative, vulnerable self without the constant criticism of how it would affect his relationship with M.

There's also this thing when it comes to songs and who they were written based off of. An example is like Taylor swift's music (and yes, I am swifitie), but with her music, many of her fans/people are like this song is about so and so and how he cheated, or did this and this on this specific day and I can't believe he did this blah blah.

And that's fine to an extent for the lore of everything but then it's like can't i just enjoy the song and possibly connect it to something in my life rather than Taylor's. She has a song called loml, which some connect it to breakups and stuff but for me I think of people or my dog that have passed away.

But back to my point is like, it's sometimes hard or I am finding difficult in connecting with Colson's new music because it's always being connected back to her and I'm sure it was created/inspired by her but we as fans, public should not be like this song is for megan, and only megan.

I'm going to be honest; I keep going back and forth on this feeling that they are or are not.

A part of me wants to be like no, they are just being respectful towards one another (rather C is trying not to get on her bad side) and learning to coexist as a unit for the baby. And that him talking or mentioning M on red carpets and stuff is sort of him giving calculated insight to how M is doing because people are curious why she has not shown her face yet while also not openly confirming they are never going to get back together cuz it could make people upset that he broke her heart or whatever while she was pregnant. It could stir unnecessary drama for them.

The other part of me, that is growing a little more every day is that they are together or are going to eventually give it one more go. If that happens, I can see them lasting a little more and being this happy family and stuff. But then, the wheels are going to come off and fuck it all up.

Guess we just got to wait and see.

I think he was lying about Megan and the therapy session, or at least, that’s the impression I got, since he seemed hesitant to share it, to say the least. I hope, for his sake, it was just a white lie.

Because imagine asking someone to run away, leave everything behind, and elope… right after a therapy session. Like, really? Maybe it’s time to change therapists, or even give up on seeking therapy altogether. At that point, the problem might not be the doctor, but your entire mindset, something no one else can truly fix for you.

Also, Mr. Baker?! What exactly does it mean when you ask your “Megan” to leave everything behind? Are you talking about leaving the baby with some random babysitter? Or do you mean just the other three kids she already has outside of your relationship? To be fair, she seemed to have already done that ages ago, or else you would’ve had the chance to be an involved stepfather. It all just seems a little confusing—like, make it make sense.

And this isn’t even my original point, just something other people have already brought up: Why would you ask someone you just had a child with, or were having a child with, someone you’re getting therapy with and see on a daily basis... to WAIT for you? It honestly makes more sense if you were asking someone else (maybe another ex?) to hang on while you figure out how to be a new baby daddy

I just found and saw the video where he was talking about the Cliche song. I wonder if he meant he was in a session with Megan at the same time or if Megan was acting like a therapist and he was venting.

The things about these two idiots is that they just say shit for shock value or to keep up this crazy, wild, modern pam/tom narrative when in reality they don't necessarily want these things. Why talk about getting married in Vegas if homegirl don't want marriage? Like Colson go find someone who does. Or the lyrics and message of the song is things that we already know he says to her, like I love u, ur too good and I'm bad, lets run away from our problems, wait for me. It's the same repeated shit that him, the articles, songs have been saying for as long as they've been together.

I can also see M finding enjoyment in hearing these things but not because she finds truth in them or romantic. It's more of like she's like "yes, I have this man in the palm of my hand."

I think when he mentioned the running away, I think they would take their children. Right? However, one, they don't want to run away because C/M love attention, love fame, love Hollywood, love the edits and fans worshipping their dumbasses. They are not going to just give it up and go live in a farm in the middle of nowhere with their 5? kids. You think Brian or Casie's mom would allow that, no. Even though Brian is a weirdo, I will say he is the better parent at least when it comes to just him and Megan and Casie's mom has done an excellent job of raising casie, so M/C will not be able to take the children away. Also cuz it will break up the "home" even more.

And I think M and C are going to realize that they can't do the shit they were doing b4 the baby was born. If i see even ONE article of M and C doing ayaschua, or him breaking a glass on his head, or M talking about how he fucked her on a coffee table or going on stage with him and smoking weed, I'm a be like someone get this baby immediately. I can't even see Megan being sexy anymore (she will try), or even Colson acting like promiscuous either. Now, it's cringe and to me will be an obvious cry for attention.

Like imagine them tonguing each other on a red carpet and then being like our baby girl learned the abc's today.

For example, Kim K is a mother of 4 and now when she poses sexy or shows off in a thong bikini, I don't get sexy from her and I just see her as someone's parent trying to cling on to her hot years. The same goes for someone like Tommy lee, known for being like one of the hottest rockstars, but now it's like that's someone's grandpa and dad. Wrap it up.

I just saw a vid on his insta where it's him and rook and them being like "F the haters, angry DuDeS R CliChe, and dude u know this is a pop song." Something about it, is giving me the ick. I'm not going to lie like Colson, honey, the song is not ur best work and it's ok and normal for some people not to like it, especially on twitter. I don't like when he does this or responds to hate in this way because I know he's trying to clapback, but it comes across as if it bothers him but he's just masking it as humor and "own" someone. He did this before with scribbling eyeliner on to be "emo" or something. Idk, y'all I'm a just wait and see if the other singles or album is good.

He always bragged about the fact that there were no YES MEN in his team and how, when he did that mixtape (GTS), which was almost self-admittedly a cash grab, they were very critical of it and cornered him to ask him to take a different direction for the upcoming album (hence how Hotel Diablo was born!). And they were so right—Going Through Sh*t was truly sh*t”; besides LOCO, LANA'S unreleased, and LATELY , everything else sucked.

I wonder if, with the money flowing in, just like he changed for the worse, they changed too—becoming yes men who approve every single move he makes, knowing it will make more money for all of them. Ooor, maybe they’re all in on it—fully aware they’re churning out garbage but happy to call it a necessary evil in the name of chasing the kind of financial freedom and wealth anyone would want for themselves, their family, and yes, even their second baby mama. (Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, is purely coincidental 😂)

If I'm being honest, I'd rather have him releasing binge style music then what he is releasing now(might be a little bias cuz Lately is one on my favorite mgk songs)

I do think the dynamic in his circle have changed over the years, whether it's because they no longer live with each other, are older/mature, etc. I still think they are close, but I do think they see him changing, for better or worse, idk, but they do. And I don't want to blame a woman for this, but I'm going to cuz M coming into Colson's life and theirs's shook shit up. Like I could only imagine their faces when C would come home and randomly start talking about how he spent the night drinking moon water or something.

There has to be a reason why most of them don't really follow M, or congratulated her on the announcement, yet in the documentary they was praising her as a goddess and angel.

I think right now, they sort of grew used to this new him and are just letting him take the lead on the music and using their talents/skills to help accomplish, create and support their brother. Or maybe it's is like you said and they like the money/opportunities coming in, so they just doing what they need to do, for the money to keep flowing.

I don't know if he's happy, I feel like that is something he struggles to feel truly. It's almost like he is constantly questioning himself like Am I happy? especially in moments or events that are typically meant to bring happiness. Idk if I'm making sense. For example, with the success of TTMD/MS, he seemed like proud of the success but then there was this layer of him just being overly reckless (smashing cup in his head), looking miserable in photos with M(his muse and "love of his life). He just sort of masked it by putting his everything into his work.

To give him some grace, he is adjusting to now having two daughters, a coparenting situation and releasing an album, so I would expect him to look a little tired. Idk if it's just me and maybe it's also because I have not been really keeping up with him so I could be wrong, but it feels like he is putting an act or laying it on thick that everything's fine, that his new, upcoming music will be the best thing he put out when his heart is not really in it. Idk, it's like he's gone autopilot.

Check out the latest Instagram posts with Colson. He is at the AMA red carpet saying he has to get back cuz his baby is sick.

Yeah, I just saw it. He didn't seem to be too concerned or worried so the baby's fever should not be too severe, so that's good to hear.

On another note, I will say his fit/look for the Ama's is simple but I kind of like it. He does look a little tired, but it could be just because of the baby.
