thinking about the political bartylily au and barty was definitely making youtube videos addressing the ethics of being an anarchist and a dom in a tpe dynamic simultaneously. he was making all kinds of connections

Marlene definitely weaponizes incompetence, and Tonks is just so fed up with it she ends up feeding into it out of anger until they break up again
But Marlene loves Tonks because seeing someone so go getting is sorta admirable, y'know? Even if it tires Marlene out, she loves Tonks for how much she does, both for Marlene and for the others
Im trying to think how the fuck Tonks actually fell in love with Marlene and I also cannot.... like they're in love but they're not
Tonks is disgusted with Marlene's attitude and way of living, because Marlene doesn't care, like she cares but she doesn't
She'll say she stands for things, she in theory does, but she doesn't act on them. She's passive about it all and that infuriates Tonks

Jegulus could be so great with James as an absolute dick cause Regulus was one too, there was so much potential and people just squandered it (Coming from someone who does somewhat like fanon jegulus btw, it does depend on the interpretation tho)
I can say with fanon (cause that tends to be what I engage with for the most part) James, like what was the point of changing him to be this if you weren't going to do anything with it? Like it's really just making him an accessory 😭😭 When that personality could've been given to anyone else, and then when people do even just a little give James a personality, it's just simply him having ADHD, being a poc, and being a people pleaser, without much elaboration otherwise
And that's also why I can't stand jegulus sometimes because guys, he's literally just there to serve regulus. They can fight with them without one person being completely in the right just for plot purposes
You want a character, you want to claim "we made these characters our own" then actually follow through and do that please and thank you
Take the time to actually think about how you see a character, develop them in your mind, and it's okay if they're a little different from what everyone else thinks, it's okay if they're a lot different!! That's supposed to be the fun of fandom, different people thinking different things and sharing it to find people who may think differently but enjoy it with you nonetheless
