~Lore(Wall of text! You’ve been warned!)
As a child, Terra was orphaned at an early age- she roamed the streets of Zaun, using speed to outwit her foes and aid her friends. On a particularly windy day, she saw a woman being accosted by a group of thugs. Almost faster than Terra could see, the woman drew a pair of small swords from her back and cut down her attackers, before walking away as calmly as she appeared. The young child had never seen anyone wield blades in that manner-the poor souls barely had time to react, let alone strike back.
Intrigued, Terra returned to that same spot the next day, and just as before, the woman defended herself. For several years, she watched and waited, until the woman’s movements were second nature. Once Terra was fourteen, she challenged the woman, wielding the sharpest knives she could barter or steal. Though she fought with as much skill she could summon, Terra was eventually defeated, unconscious and bleeding on the streets of Zaun.
Rather than allow her to be left to her fate, the woman chose to spare the wounded teenager, bringing Terra to her home and tending to her wounds. Once Terra awakened, the woman introduced herself as Mariko, and offered to teach her what she knew, but only that, and nothing more- If she wanted to master what she was taught, Terra would have to find a true teacher.
Cautiously, she accepted the offer, and began training in what Mariko would eventually reveal as Ninjutsu. It was grueling, but Terra’s will was indomitable, devouring every technique at an exceptional rate. After five years, Mariko deemed Terra proficient enough to confer her with the title of Shinobi, and bestowed upon her two gifts: the first were her own pair of Ninjato, both hilts fashioned in the style of wings; the second was a curious square crystal that housed a furious wind, dubbed the Eye of the Storm. The crystal felt snug in Terra’s palm, wind itself shuddering when she invoked it’s wrath.
The celebration was short lived, however, as a cell of ninjas attacked Mariko’s home. Though both women fought valiantly, Mariko was fatally wounded. As the remaining Shinobi surrounded her, Terra invoked the full power of the Eye, summoning a Malestrom that decimated her attackers…and the surrounding area. With her last breath, Mariko bade Terra to find Shen or Zed- one of them would be the true master she sought, but Mariko warned her to choose carefully, as their morals differed radically.
After burying her master in the eye of the destruction, Terra spent the next few years in seclusion, mastering her power over wind. When she re-emerged, she was a force to be reckoned with, yet still she was hungered for more. She now finds herself on a boat to Ionia, with the names of two Ninja master’s on her lips:
“Shen, Zed…one of them will take me on. And if they don’t, I will make them see reason.”

Champion/Personal abilities.
Passive: Between the Balance
-At the beginning of the game, Terra may choose to follow the Path of Balance or the Path of Shadow, granting her different abilities and particle effects.
Q: Driving Winds
-Reversing one of her blades, Terra drives through in that direction, dealing physical damage to enemies in a line. If she kills her target, the energy and cooldown are refunded. Balance(Perfect Dash): Terra can perform this technique again, at no energy cost. Shadow(Road to Ruin): Terra leaves a trail of shadow, slowing enemies caught.
W:Wind Aspect
-Passive: Enemies struck by basic attacks or Driving Winds are afflicted with Gale Force, reducing their armor and magic resist. This can stack up to four times.
Active: Terra can consume all stacks of Gale Force to deal scaling magic damage. Balance(Out of Balance): Gale Force now applies a Damage over Time effect. Shadow(Certain Kill): Gale Force stacks now do magic damage based on a target’s missing health.
E:Vortex Kick
-Terra leaps into the air and performs a spin kick, dealing physical damage to surrounding enemies. Balance(Gust): If the enemy is afflicted by Gale Force, the enemy is knocked into the air. Shadow(Lotus Flourish): Terra’s follows up with a flurry of kunai knives, dealing physical damage and causing bleed damage.
R: Mistral Maelstrom
After channeling for 1.5 seconds, Terra invokes the Eye of the Storm to summon a tornado at the target location, up to 1000 units away. Enemies inside the tornado take magic damage over time and gain stacks of Gale Force. Enemies are slowly drawn to the center of the tornado, and exiting the maelstrom slows the target by 50%. Balance(Weight of Sin): Slow increased to 80%. Shadow(Song of Silence): Expunges the tornado, dealing flat magic damage to all enemies inside and around the tornado.
// Congratulations you are reading the third second edition of blog updates in convenient text post format! This one’s all about interactions; Starter requests for mutuals and otherwise, then my need to rp with some kind of Freljord tribe leader, and finally more nonsense about my OC( and yours if you’d like a thread of some sort). All of this and more, but probably not, if you’re willing to click below the cut!
// sorry about the inactivity, everyone D: I clarified this on my Irelia blog (but not this one because I'm dumb)- I'm actually not at home atm, and probably won't be for the next day or two. I promise I'll actually finish cleaning up and rping on this blog once I'm back home.
“You made a mistake in approaching me at all. I’m not one that you should play around with.” Yasuo sheathed his blade completely, smiling wide as he did so. “Come on then, I’ll make you a bit more humble with teaching you a lesson.” A short chuckle was breathed as he rested the sheathed blade on his shoulder.
There wasn’t a single tense muscle in his body. He may have seemed arrogant at first glance, but truly, this was the gap that separated them in skill. “Come on now, don’t keep me waiting.”
With no concern for her hand motions, nor the aura around her blade, her merely side stepped, letting the assassin plunge forward. “First lesson, never attack first if you do not have a plan beforehand. Along with that, throwing your body forward like that is far too predictable.” The scabbard slammed against her back after his doge, and once again, he rested the blade on his shoulder.
“Lesson two.” Yasuo dashed forward, smashing the scabbard against her blade. With another snarky chuckle, his fist crashed into her face, along with the scabbard sweeping her legs out from under her. “Having your hand restricted to holding your other sword like that is a hindrance, although, it looks nice. Now, for lesson three.” The ronin swung the scabbard with precision and skill, yet with a certain amount of brutality to it. A master like Yasuo could do this with ease, it almost made him feel bad for the little assassin.
Aggravated, Terra pounded her free hand into the dirt. “The hell is with you, Ronin? I’m trying to kill you, yet you’re treating me like your student!” The Eye was surging now, and finally she pulled the curious square jewel from her pocket. She had every intention of casting Mistral Maelstrom and leveling this entire forest...but the side of her reasoning thankfully won out. She’d barely been to Ionia for more than a few days, and she was already going to destroy it for a few hundred gold? Maybe?
“You know what?” With a sigh, Terra returned the Eye of the Storm to her pocket, opting instead to rub her sore jaw. “You aren’t worth the dinner I would have bought with your blood money.” At the mention of the word, her stomach growled rather audibly. “So much for dinner tonight,” she murmured under her breath, regretting how thoroughly she sampled Ionia’s cuisine a few nights prior.
The smoke bomb was not something he’d seen before, but with her speed, it caught him off guard. Yasuo jumped aside, shielding his eyes, but keeping himself from being engulfed in smoke. With the smoke between them, Yasuo could only stare into it with anticipation. “You’re fast, but you’re a little too cocky kid, you might get hurt acting like that!” A small smirk worked it’s way onto his expression as he guessed her next move.
As soon as the assassin came through the smoke, a heavy gust of wind sent her flying into the air. Almost as fast as the wind itself, the ronin appeared above her. “Funny enough, neither do I!” He grabbed the woman by the throat, and brought her down to the ground, shattering the earth beneath them.
The ronin jumped back, taking his stance, and readying himself for what may happen next. “Now, how about you try that again?”
Waves of pain crashed into Terra’s body as she slammed against the hard ground. If she could, she would take back the silent prayer of thanks she offered her previous mentor- it was just her luck to find someone just as skilled with wind manipulation as her. In her pocket, the Eye began to stir; she considered drawing on it’s power, but suppressed the urge. She knew what kind of destruction she could bring if she drew too much from it, and decided that, for now, she could resist the urge.
Pulling herself to her feet, the Shinobi raised her sword cautiously towards Yasuo. “I made the mistake of misjudging you earlier; for that, I apologize.” With her free hand, she extended her index and middle finger, one of the few handsigns her mentor had instructed her in. “But I’m,really starting to lose my patience.” The wind around her sword began to churn, and the polished steel turned a light green, surrounded by a small funnel cloud.
Bringing her other hand to her back, she pulled on the other sword, raising it from it’s sheath, but not fully drawing it. “My name is Terra. Don’t bother remembering it, you won’t be alive for much longer.” As if she were one with the wind itself, Terra dashed forward, swiftly slashing, almost flailing, with her tornado blade. All the while, her other hand rested on her second sword, waiting for it’s opportune moment.
For days now, he’d been able to stay in one place, and indulge himself in all of the women and liquor that the purse of some unfortunate assassin could afford. No one had discovered him just yet, and he felt no urgency to leave, especially since the women in town were almost as fine as the liquor that they’d share in various ways. Of course, like all things, this good luck came to an end when he spotted a woman looking at his grizzled mug on a wanted poster. Shit
It was obvious that the woman had taken an interest in the reward, even though Yasuo thought that he was worth much more than that. There was only one thing he could do now, and that was to rid himself of another assassin that’d be on his tail.
With a long sigh, and a relaxed expression, he walked right into her field of view, knowing that it’d lure an eager hunter right into where he wanted her. With trained ears, he could tell that the woman had something in her hand to tip the scales quite easily, so that had to be taken care of first.
“Why yes, I am.” A finger flicked his sword out of it’s scabbard, and a gust of wind quickly followed. It flowed behind the girl, pushing her forward with great force. Yasuo let the blade fall a bit more out of the sheath, then he turned and kicked out her leg from under her. With that bringing her to her knees, he pressed the exposed part of his blade against her neck. “Why do you ask?”
Did she really think this would be that easy? Yes. Yes she did.
“We...seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot.” Terra laughed awkwardly, then stopped before she accidentally cut her own throat. “I suppose I should have chosen a more honorable approach.” Admittedly, it was nice to see not all of Ionia was full of peaceful old men- a stereotype that tended to permeate Zaun. Slowly, ever so slowly, her hand went to her belt. Well, it’s his life or mine.
Quickly, Terra fell into a roll, leaving behind a smoke bomb where she once knelt. They were a primitive thing to a Shinobi of the wind, but beggars can’t be choosers. The smokescreen gave her space, breathing room, lots of things you appreciate when you nearly die. Coming out of her roll, she pivoted on her heel; the only drawback to the smoke bomb was that she had to estimate where the ronin now stood, but she could manage...hopefully. “Do you know what’s interesting about honor?” Her hand went to her back, pulling a single one of her wind-aspected ninja swords from it’s sheathe. “Ninjas don’t believe in such things.” Reversing the sword along her forearm, Terra dashed through the center of the smoke, letting the wind carry her towards Yasuo’s chest.
Quickly recounting her inventory, Terra pulled a slip of paper from inside her shirt. It was folded in half, barely holding together really; it was also heavily creased, as if it had lived a hard life. On each of the folded sides were two names; Two ninjas who were proving rather elusive to pin down. Even worse, at her side were two empty pouches; one devoid of gold, and the other devoid of water. It wouldn’t matter if Terra could find them if she couldn’t afford food, let alone water to keep her alive. She wanted to be at her best when she found...whoever she chose.
For now, her eyes took in the details of a poster that hung on an ornate building, probably her favorite feature of this foreign land. Once she killed this...Yasuo, she could finally take time to enjoy the sights, with a much heavier coin purse to lead her onward. According to some of the locals, Yasuo was a murderer- the details of which were a little hazy, however. Not that it would have mattered to her; though this didn’t count as an official contract, she was glad to have the warm up for her skills. In Zaun, everyone needed someone dead. She doubted it was different here.
She scanned it one more time, only to do a double take. At the end of the road was the same man she had been looking for, coincidentally. I guess Mariko wanted to make this easy for me. Quickly offering a silent prayer for her master, she folded the handbill for the Ronin and placed it in her pocket, replacing it with a smoke bomb from her belt. Tossing it casually into the air and catching it as if it were a handball, Terra approached him and asked calmly, “Excuse me would you happen to be...Yasuo?”
