Here's a thought of an insecure person

Here's me being sad for being second for the first time

while giving and making you all my first from the very first time.

Here's me being upset that you still remember her full name

when for the longest time, you couldn't even remember my middle name.

Here's you making me feel like I'm irrational

Saying why I can't stop looking at her socials.

When all along I just want to find her faults

So I can convince myself that I should not be insecure

And just lock my thoughts inside my brain’s vault.

Growing

It’s a fact. We will inevitably grow.

Those sexy outfits isn’t so classy anymore.

Selfies/groupies/ootds/instrammable shots isn’t so picture worthy anymore.

Late night outs caring for drunk friends isn’t that funny anymore.

Spending a large portion of your budget in one meal isn’t so practical anymore.

So you avoid those splurging get togethers to save, because lo and behold, your suddenly sticking to your budget.

Suddenly, you would rather live in the moment than get those insta-worthy shots.

Suddenly, you’d rather stay in with Netflix or be with family than we wasted.

So sudden, that your friends who still like those things mentioned above is not so relatable anymore.

Not so relatable that you sometimes think, that if it’s true that we are meant to grow, does it mean we are meant to outgrew our friends as well?

Fck. I hope not.
