Exploration Stations
So my story time kiddos were less than thrilled with the crafts I had for them, which made me super bummed and left questioning my abilities as a librarian. But after some soul searching and Facebook group discussion, I found the perfect thing for these little Einsteins-in-training: stations.
One of the schools where I do outreach implements Montessori in their daily activities. I love this. The kids get to âplay,â but theyâre also learning life skills, and motor skills, and self-discipline.
So I bought all the pencil bags from the dollar store, and used all the laminating sheets in the library, and created these learning stations/busy bags for the kids to do after the story.
They absolutely LOVED it.
