*The siblings had been running for who knows how long- days, weeks, months? They didn't know anymore. All they knew was that they saw the other 6 go through different portals, and now its just them in a world that seems to be populated by things that seemed like Furybeasts at first glance. Their bodies ached, calves felt as though they were burning magma. Serpentor soon slumped against a tree in the clearing of the forest.

SERPENTOR: "Remind me... never to do that... again..."

*His little sister, Nightwolf, nodded while nursing some wounds from the brambles that had clawed at her pelt and clothes- she had fallen into a rather annoying Bush. She limped over to her brother.*

Nightwolf:"...Noted. let's set up camp, then we'll find our way home. Cmon, Serps. We need to find some sort of safer place than here. We don't know what could be lurking."

*Nightwolf pulled herself to her feet, and did the same with Serpentor, adjusting the strap of her satchel full of scrolls and mysterious shiny crystals. They wandered for hours until they found a clearing a few minutes away from what looked to be a town. Twas there that the duet of siblings set up their little campsite, and sat down to eat some of the food they had brought with. Nightwolf took a bite of the huge beef steak in her hands, that had been well-cooked by her older brother's elemental power. Serpentor just munched on a carrot, preferring a more vegetable oriented lifestyle.*

*a ball lands in a bush near em.*

“I’ll get it!” *A cheerful voice said from a distance.*

*Serpentor's tail twitched and he seemed surprised.*

Serpentor: "you can control fire as well?! Awesome!"

*he seemed happy. Nightwolf just formed a small ice spike.*

Nightwolf: "Serpy only has his powers cos he's a fire Furybeast. I can control ice, which is my element."

*she commented, letting her ice powers make a small spike of armored frost on her arm.*

“That’s so cool…”

*Rockstar said in awe.*

*Nightwolf grinned, tail wagging as she let the ice thaw on her.*

Nightwolf: "The only downside is how soaked I get when the ice melts."

*She shook herself off and her fur puffed up- she looked like a giant purple cotton ball!*

“Well, either way that’s bad ass.”

*Rockstar said with a grin.*

Nightwolf:"..Aw, you really think so?"

*Nightwolf sheepishly grinned, her tail wagging as she smoothed down her fur.*

“Yup! I haven’t really discovered my special abilities… like Sunshine has… but I’m sure I’ll figure it out… one way or another.”

*Rockstar said, looking at his pendant.*

Serpentor:"...Dont give up, ya hear me? I wasn't able to control my powers at first, or my Wyld-Side form. But with hours, days and even weeks of practice I was able to learn how to control my abilities. I'm sure you'll be able to control yours if you just try."

*HOLY INSPIRATIONAL SPEECH! Serpentor perked up when Nightwolf started clapping, tearing up proudly.*

Nightwolf:"IM NOT WORTHY OF SUCH AN INSPIRATIONAL OLDER BROTHER!"

“…Heh… Thanks… I really needed that…”

*Rockstar smiled, while Sunshine was clapping as well, in tears.*

“That was so inspirational…”

*Serpentor smiled gently, looking over at Nightwolf and Sunshine.*

Serpentor:"Those creative writing classes that Shadefang recommended came in handy, huh?"

*He chuckled, adjusting his tie softly.*

“They sure have! …whoever that is!”

*Nightwolf's seemed to darken at the mention of 'Shadefang.*

Nightwolf: "Shadefang's my younger brother. The first darkness furybeast born a royal in millenia. The first ever darkness Furybeast predicted that when one of royal blood was born, Dredd would be able to break free of its tomb. Shadowtusk was right- almost days after Shadefang's element first came to light, Dredd broke out and ravaged a town near where it broke free... nobody survived. Just thinking of Shadefang reminds me of all the innocent people who died that day."

*Her tone had become serious, yet solemn. She seemed... sad. The fact people had died to Dredd... she knew what a danger Dredd would be if it found their world.*

“…Oh… I’m so sorry to hear that…”

Nightwolf:"It's okay. It was sudden, and nobody was ready for it. Shadefang blamed himself for weeks, even though he knew it was fate. I couldn't get him out of his room because of it."

*Nightwolf huffed, and Serpentor just sighed.*

Serpentor:"The past is long gone and the future is still a mystery, Nightwolf. Let's focus on the present before we do anything else. We need to regroup with the other 6, and we need to get ready to face Dredd once and for all. I'm sick of hiding from things, and we need to actually face this."

*Serpentor sounded determined, and the look in his eye indicated he was willing to stand up against Dredd or any tyrant, whether they were afraid of him or not.*

Serpentor:"Sunshine, you said you have friends, right? I'm asusming Rockstar is one of 'em. We might need a lot of help to find a way to regroup with the other 6 'beasts."

*Serpy was going full 'leadership' mode.*

“Oh! I’ll call em!”

“…..Moonlight’s free, Bookworm’s also free… Heartbeat’s also free… They should be here soon!”

“hi.”

“GAH!”

*Rockstar jumped back, before relaxing.*

“Oh…”

“H-Hey Sunshine! You need help with something?”

“You called us over…”

*Nightwolf was just silently looking up at Moonlight with amazed eyes, looking like a kid in a candy store. Serpy, on the other hand, was somehow surprisingly calm. But he didn't speak, just silently keeping an eye on Nightwolf- whose tail was wagging faster than he'd ever seen.*

“Oh who are these guys?”

“Definitely not critters I’ve seen…”

Serpentor:"...Thats cos we aren't critters. We're furybeasts- long story short, me n' my sister got separated from the other 6 of us that are supposed to fight some cerebrus-like dragon monster called Dredd."

*He spoke calmly, and with a tone of patience. Nightwolf, however, seemed really friendly as she walked straight up to Moonlight.*

Nightwolf:"I'm Nightwolf, most of my friends call me 'wolf. Thats my brother Serpentor, but he usually goes by just serpy or Serps."

*Her tail was wagging like MAD.*

“Oh, hey there… I’m Moonlight…”

“You need help with defeating a monster? …Names Heartbeat, by the way…”

“I’m Bookworm Bubbaphant.”

Serpentor:"...Its more that we need help regrouping with the other 6 so we can all work together to send that oversized lizard back to the grave before it kills anymore than it already has."

*Serpentor stated, huffing. His expression was one of tired annoyance, as if he didn't want to kill Dredd but knew it was to protect his kingdom.*

“O… Oh! Got it!”

“I’m sure we can handle it….”

*Bookworm said confidently.*

*Serpentor looked like he wanted to speak, but Nightwolf interjected.*

Nightwolf:"...Anything is possible when you work as a team!"

*She was back to being a hyperactive bean again.*

“That’s right! She gets it!”

*Sunshine says with his tail wagging.*

*Nightwolf's ears twitched and Serpentor just chuckled.*

Serpentor:"Shes a crazy one, that's a certainty."

*He ruffled Nightwolf's head-floof and she let out a small squeak of anger and amusement.*

“Heh heh… We could tell…”

*Nightwolf seemed to shake off Serpentor's hand before playfully punching her brother's shoulder.*

Serpentor: "She was raised this way, yknow. Dad wanted an optimist daughter and he definitely got one."

*He grinned as Nightwolf quietly adjusted her scarf, revealing a scar slightly.*

*Moonlight noticed it but didn’t wanna be rude. So he shrugged it off.*

“Oh, well my dad, was…”

“…”

“he was…”

“…um…”

Nightwolf:"If you don't wanna talk about them or just don't feel like it you don't have to!"

*Nightwolf quietly went to try and help Sunshine. Serpentor just smiled, tail swaying a little bit.*

“Okay!”

*Sunshine smiled as his tail wagged, while Heartbeat rubs her arm, looking away.*

*Serpentor looked away, huffing a bit.*

Serpentor:"...Im sure if Shadefang was here right now he'd try to help."

*His tone was reassuring and confident.*

“Let’s uh move on, so how can we help?”

Nightwolf:"We need to regroup with the others before we start planning on how we'll defeat Dredd. I know I saw some familiar worlds in the other portals, and typically enough I even brought an entire theory board I was gonna use."

*She pulled a huge board covered in items that seemed to indicate where each of the Furybeasts had gone.*

Nightwolf:"Skullclaw and dayblood went through a portal that had some sort of dark trail in front of it. Dragonoxer and shadefang seemed to head to some sort of dark land with eyes in clouds. And Brazenspark and Hogbreeze seemed to head through a portal leading to some sort of Minecraft world."

*Her tone was determined.*

Nightwolf:"We need to gather the rest of the 'beasts, then get a plan in motion. You guys are able to help by making sure Dredd doesn't show up or find us in the process."

*She seemed to get more confident.*

Serpentor:"A key sign of someone being under Dredd's control is their eyes turning a dark shade of purple. It'll be a good indication of if/when Dredd is around or here."

*He seemed to know what he was doing.*

“Oh! I heard of Minecraft!”

“And if that guy ever shows up, we’ll try to knock em down a peg or two, distract him y’know?”

*Serpentor slightly smiled and nodded.*

Serpentor:"Thanks. A few warnings though, one head can breathe out this gas that makes people way more susceptible to corruption. There's a high chance he's built up an army, and I have a feeling that it'll be a large one."

*the determination and worry in his voice rang out like a bell.*

“Corruption? I’ve experienced something like that.”

“Don’t you worry, sir! We will do our best!”

*Nightwolf noticed what Moonlight had said, but didn't comment about it.*

Serpentor:"For now though, I say we gather supplies. We had the last of the food we'd brought with us before Sunshine found us."

*He gives a slightly grateful nod to Sunshine, happy to have been found before the risk of starvation became a problem.*

“Aw shucks, it was nothing special.”

*Sunshine said, scratching the back of his head.*

“I got the important stuff like food and drinks!”

“I got supplies on if you need to build anything.”

“And we all got plenty of entertainment here.”

Serpentor:"...And I have the shard of the Realmstone that can be used for the purpose of Realmstepping."

*He showed everyone the purple crystal tied to his arm. Nightwolf just deadpanned.*

“Ooooooh!”

“Dude that is sick…”

“Interesting…”

“So pretty…!”

“Nice.”

Nightwolf:"I CALL DIBS ON SHOWING THEM HOW IT WORKS!"

*Nightwolf snatched the Realmstone shard from Serpentor and used it to open a portal to their home- which seemed to now be rather wrecked.*

Nightwolf:"...O-oh. Oh dear... ...I don't think it's safe to go home for a while..."

*She seemed to be upset, and rather sad.*

“……”

“O-Oh…”

*Serpentor just seemed angry.*

Serpentor:"...Okay, Dredd has gone too far. That was our homeworld and if he's gonna destroy that then he deserves to be sealed away again for what he did."

*His tone was similar to that of a livid fighter. Nightwolf just looked sad.*

“He won’t get away with it…”

*Heartbeat let out a deep bear growl, in contrast to her cheerful sounding voice.*

“No one deserves to go through this. We will make Dredd pay…”

*Nightwolf seemed to nod in agreement. Serpentor did as well.*

Nightwolf:"...We need to gather the other eight before we do anything."

*She seemed brave. Serpentor just looked angry.*

“Agreed! If we get them, we’ll be able to do something about this Dredd guy!”

*Nightwolf quietly thought and looked over at the others.*

Nightwolf:"You ever wanted to go into other worlds? Were gonna need all the help we can get, and it'll be best if we go in teams."

*She had a valid point.*

*Meanwhile, outside... a mysterious, scruffy rabbit-like creature climbed through a portal and stared down the house from a distance. The mask it wore lit up as it spoke.*

???:"...Found 'em, Dredd. Don't worry, that light Furybeast in his feral form will be a useful asset against them."

*As if on cue, a large hulking batlike monster crawled through the portal. It let out a low hiss as it stared at the house and growled menacingly before diving into the shadows.*

(Nobody knows this bit happened.)

*Back indoors, Serpentor had grabbed a few scrolls and was giving a rather large lecture on how Realmstepping worked and the best way to face corrupt furybeasts.*

*Bookworm was closely listening along with Sunshine.*

*Moonlight and Rockstar fell asleep though.*

*Nightwolf was encouraging Serpentor, and even tried to wake up Moonlight and Rockstar to get them to keep listening.*

Serpentor:"...The one thing, never EVER to do is lower your guard around a corrupt furybeast. Within seconds they could pin you- or worse. Nightwolf almost died because of that and I wouldn't want anyone to die."

*He finished his lecture with that.*

*Nightwolf nodded, looking away embarrassedly.*

“Hmmm… We’ll do our best. But we need to stay on guard.”

“Easy for me.”

*Nightwolf seemed to be trying to work out what would work for teams. She seemed deep in thought.*
