Intros, beginnings, yet just another life

Three children... well, are they even children at this point? They are far older than any adults around them. For the sake of argument, let us call them children. They were such when turned.

Three siblings, in fact. Not by blood but by choice. They fled Oakhurst long ago after great tragedy; the death of their adopted father upon a blazing pyre. They believed both their fathers to be dead. How wrong they were. One of their adopted fathers is alive. And not only alive, but terrorizing this town.

The first child is Mirai. She is the eldest, not by pure years, but by age she was turned. Her hair has remained blonde, cut short due to necessity, and her eyes remain a striking blood red. Her skin isn't quite pale enough yet to call concern of a vampire, but she doesn't bother hiding. She has siblings to protect.

The second child is Selene. She is the middle child, yet the youngest of them all by pure years. Her long hair has turned completely white, her eyes ruby red, her teeth and claws long and sharp. She longs for peace, longs for the approval of those around her, yet will she ever obtain that?

The third and final child is Hitori. He is the youngest in age of turning, yet the oldest in pure years. His hair is almost down to his back and as white as his sister's. His skin is pale, deathly so, his eyes a red that draws you in. He seems to be hard of hearing and quite dependent on his sisters. Inside him simmers a great and terrible power; one that he fights hard to control.

Hello everyone! This is my first rp blog, but I've decided to go all out! These three are little oc's i've been spinning in my head, and honestly? I really want to share them with everyone!!

The lore of this blog is just up to date with the current vsmp events

Will interact with other vsmp rp blogs, especially if you're interested in playing into the lore! And ESPECIALLY Owen rp blogs, seeing as i've designated Owen as these kids adopted dad. No pressure tho! Playing into the lore is not necessary at all! I can easily work around it!

Please no flirting with these kids. MAYBE Mirai, but only if the character you're playing is also a minor around her age (which is sixteen!). General rule of thumb, no flirting. No nfsw, please keep things kind and civil, and everyone have some fun!!

He reached into his pack to grab his own paper and pen, drifting a letter about the state of the other children in return

Selene sits at Hitori's side at the beacon, staring almost numbly at the wall as her brother watches a worm crawl it's way across the floor. She looks up as Phil approaches the crypt.

"Hi Phil." She says quietly. Hitori, on the other hand, is instantly excited.

He grins. "Food? More food? More food, I teach how powers work."

Phil looks between the two,

“Yeah I have more food.”

He slings off the bag and hands it to Hatori with a smile before looking back at Selene,

“You ok there mate?”

Hitori grabs the bag and digs in. Selene sighs, looking past Phil to the world outside the crypt. "Mirai left with the others." She responds. "And Papa is dead, so... I don't really know if I'm okay. I'm alive, I guess."

"Mirai safe." Hitori comments as he consumes his meal. "Can feel it. Will say if she not safe."

"Mirai left?"

Phil frowned, looking down.

"I... I see."

He went quiet for a long while, gathering his thoughts.

"And you still remain for Hitori?"

She nods. "Papa is dead, so... there's really no one to take care of him. Other than you of course." She smiles a bit. "Thank you for helping us. I-I really should be saying that more often."

"Any time I suppose..."

Phil sat down, sighing to himself.

"... and the plan is to simply stay here?"

"We have no where else to go, so... yeah." Selene answers, picking at the sleeve of her blouse.

"I'll stay."

Selene stares up at Phil in shock. Hitori too seems caught off-guard by this news. "What?" Selene asks. "Really? Why?"

"Well... I'll be honest, I am a little tired of being a vampire hunter, at least for the time being."

he paused, exhaling slowly and looking down at his hands.

"And... I don't have much in the way of ties to human society at the moment..."

Selene smiles. She still looks very tired, but Phil's choice has obviously cheered her up a bit. "Thank you."

Hitori tugs on her sleeve, pointing to a corner of the crypt where a mouse was cautiously poking its nose out of a hole in the stone. He grins at Phil and Selene. "Watch."

The child stares at the mouse, tracing his finger in strange patterns on his palm. Red energy, just like that which Hitori had transferred from himself to Phil when he'd first gifted him the power, circles around the mouse. It crawls over to Hitori without fear, it's movements a little too perfect to be natural. The vampire grabs the mouse and bites into it's neck, draining it of it's blood.

He looks back up at Phil, obviously quite proud of himself. What the fuck.

Phil attempts to hide his uneasiness with a chuckle.

"that's rather interesting..."

he hums, eyes locked on the mouse's corpse

"You can do that." Hitori says, smiling. The young vampire's smile was always creepy.

Selene sighs. "He's been eager to show you how to use blood magic. I don't think it's worth it. It feels icky to use."

Selene once again finds Avid in the woods. She doesn't greet him, instead hugs him fiercely. She is trembling all over and her face is stained with tears.

Avid hugs her a little harder for a moment, being careful not to hurt her on accident.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay...I'm still here right? I know that's not much but I won't leave you."

He knew Cherri had gotten him the food for him so he’d not snap again, but he had made a promise, so half would have to go to Hitori.

“Hello..?”

He called out, looking around for the child.

“I got food for you kid…”

Hitori practically skittered out of a hidden corner of the crypt, eyes wide with excitement. "Food?" He asked, already smelling the delicious scent of raw meat.

Phil knelt down, a small smile on his face,

“Yep, I’ve got a good bit of it here. Should help ya for a bit.”

He set the bag down in front of Hitori

Hitori digs into the bag, pulling out a piece of fresh meat. He sinks his fangs into the flesh with a ravenous expression. The meat is ashy and drained of all it's blood in mere seconds. He throws it to the side and grabs the next one.

Phil watches him quietly

"that good enough for you..?"

Hitori shrugs, still devouring the meat. He pauses to look up at Phil and speak. "Never enough."

"I know the feeling."

He sat close by and hummed to himself as he watched the child feed

Hitori finishes the food, not even bothering with the pile of dry flesh he'd amassed. He turns his attention to Phil. "Thank you."

After a moment, he speaks again. "I want to give gift for helping. You like power, yes?"

"Power..?"

Phil tilted his head to the side,

"I'm... unopposed to that... what do you mean though?"

Instead of answering, Hitori grabs Phil's wrist and bites. Blood is not something vampires have. Instead, essence, something more akin to a magical life-giving substance. To most it's vile, or even deadly.

To a demon, it's food.

He pulls away after taking his fill, smiling at the vampire in front of him. "There. Power."

Phil makes a noise of surprise, grubbing his wrist.

“What… is this power?”

Hitori smiles, his eyes beginning to glow. He touches Phil’s wrist and a red light passes from his fingers to the vampire’s body. “Blood magic. Demon magic. You feel it? Very powerful. Makes you very strong.”

A shiver goes down Phil’s spine, he takes a deep breath and stares at his wrist, gently rubbing it with his other hand

“… interesting… is this… apart of your curse?”

“Yes.” He replies, looking quite pleased with himself.

he looked back at Hitori,

"you are an interesting child..."

The Departure

Mirai stands with the others. Those who are relieved, those who are happy, those who are grieving. The sun shines bright upon her skin. It burns.

This is not what she wanted. This... twisted allowance of freedom costing her everything.

Her father; dead. She recalls sitting at his grave..

Neither tears nor words can express the anguish she felt upon that cliff. A grave dug by the one who killed him. It's such a beautiful statue... such sweet words carved upon the stone...

"I'm sorry, Papa." She whispered, somehow still standing, even as grief envelopes her. Mirai wipes her eyes with the rough fabric of her cloak. "I would love to say that you're with Father now... but we both know that's not true. He was too good, and we... we are not creatures that can be redeemed."

Her brother; a monster. His skin boiled and red, his eyes alight with a devilish glow, his humanity utterly lost as the demon within took over.

"Hitori, please! It's me! It's Mirai! Your sister!" Her cries fall on the deaf ears of the monster before her. His claws rip through her flesh with no remorse.

But she sees it in his eyes. She sees the fear of becoming something else. She sees that he doesn't want to hurt her. She sees that he's no longer in control.

She sees that... and she runs.

All that remains is her sister. A sister she intends to abandon. Selene is there now, walking on shaky feet towards Mirai.

In just the past week Mirai has watched her sister unravel to a point of no return. There is no longer innocent hope in those eyes. There is only a child left to burn in the fire set by those around her.

"Everyone is going..." Her voice is so small and faint it almost shatters Mirai's long dead heart to pieces. It reminds her of nights long ago spent in the shadows of alleys and the cold drafts of caves, clutching her siblings in the safe embrace provided by her arms. She would sing to them in the low melodies of her birthplace, soothing their worries, and as Hitori drifted off to a half-sleeping state, Selene would ask her questions.

"Why are they afraid of us? Why can't we be friends?" "Do you think Father is proud of us?" "Sister, is Papa in heaven? Do vampires get to go to heaven?"

And she would answer back best she could.

"Yes, Father is proud of us." "If vampires can go to heaven of course Papa is there too." "I don't know why we can't live with them, I'm sorry."

"Are you leaving too?"

"Yes." Mirai answers, her voice cracking on the admission. She rushes to follow up as Selene's face twists in anger and despair. "I-I have someone I need to find. Cleo and Pearl can take care of you."

Selene is quite clearly trying not to cry. "What about Hitori?"

Mirai lets out a shaky breath. "We both know he's gone, Selene." The emotion in her voice is like nothing she's ever heard from herself before. It is grief and guilt mixed with the worst form of despair.

Her sister hangs her head in defeat. It's a terrible acceptance, one she does not want to give, yet hands over anyway. Selene was always a selfless girl.

Mirai kneels before her sister, taking her face in her hands. "I'll come back." She promises. "Once I find the person I'm looking for, I'll return to Oakhurst. I promise."

Selene nods, hiccupping on her tears. A long moment of silence passes before she throws herself into her older sister's arms, sobbing. Mirai hugs back and buries her face in the soft white hair of the only family she has left.

"I love you."

"I love you too. Return soon, please.."

"I can't promise that... but I will try."

As she's walking away, Mirai takes one last look back at Oakhurst. This town she spent many years of her life in. The town she ran from for centuries. The place she found love and anger and grief all rolled into a confusing bundle one might call a story.

Selene is waving from the path. She's flanked by Cleo and Pearl, the former with a soothing hand on the young girl's shoulder. All the others have long left by now. Scott, Drift, Shelby, Sausage, Apo...

She never got to kill Apo. Maybe that was for the best. Apo never did anything to deserve her wrath.

A single magpie lands on her shoulder. It cries out a raucous song and for the first time in many, many years... Mirai truly smiles.

And so she begins her journey, letting the fog swallow her and her sins.

The path ahead is weary, but she has faith.

"Sing little magpie, sing."

Even still, this is not the end of her story.

Plans now that Ep. 8 has happened

This blog will still continue, I am not abandoning it. Selene, Hitori, and Mirai all have stories left to tell.

Well... maybe not Mirai, but... you'll see.

Anyway, feel free to keep interacting! Selene will probably be the one you'll want to be interacting with the most. The fates of the other two... kinda make it difficult.

But yeah, this blog is firmly sticking around.
