I managed to make a little comic and an illustration for one of my fav vsmp moments!
I'm very rusty with comics so this has been a struggle from start to finish but I'm proud I stayed strong and completed what I initially wanted to do. It was extremely challenging, especially when I deleted half my lineart accidentally and had to redo it from scratch sighhhh...
At first I wanted to keep the scene as close to canon as possible but then I realized that there's not much there to start with but the dialogues and somewhat the tone of them. So I just decided to interpret the characters and structures a bit on my own.
I did a lot of work on Apo internal thoughts for this comic, hopefully it comes through. I thought at first they're just disgusted by blood, then the instincts come in, then the panic, both to avoid launching on Legundo and cause they have zero plans on how to avoid converting the beacons.
For Cleo: initially I made her a bit more tender about the situation but then I thought she could have been a lot more indifferent, doncha know? After all Cleo and Apo already had some beef with each other, even just before this scene. The panel when Cleo says 'you can go turn that beacon' >>>>>>>>> they're sooo thinking Apo's an idiot and felt the need to intervene for Legundo's sake.
And Legundo is just annoyed. Annoyed at Apo for ignoring him, then annoyed that the vampires got yet another one. It's his vibe for all, he does wanna save people for sure but yk it's a whole lot of more work every time they turn another one. That's the life of the only doctor of the town. #overworked
basically: let's give Cleo revenge, Apo a warm hug and Legundo some rest.
