I feel sad. No one's around. Cure my depression, space uncle

I know it’s easier to feel lonely than to feel in company. Loneliness is a bitter cold, and it’s easy to get cold. It’s easy to feel stripped and alone.

In my many years, I’ve learned something though. I’ve learned it’s just as easy to love. Even if it’s not another person. If it’s a story, a companion, or a feeling it doesn’t matter. Passions burn and consume you. They warm the cold away. And of course it’s easy to fall out of love, or to feel like the cold is too strong for the flame, but that flame burns in all of us.

I don’t believe there’s a “cure” to depression. It’s something we all live with to a degree. And we learn how to roll with any punch. We learn how to feed the fires that keep us warm. The cold may still bite at our toes, but our hearts burn.

And my heart burns for you, son. I hope you’re feeling slightly better.

It’s alright to feel low sometimes. As long as you don’t stay there. As long as you know you’re not alone. I’m glad it helped and I hope continue to feel better.

Well…is it OK to feel low all the time? It’s not always the fact that I’m sad. I could be angry and confused but it’s always something negative. I just feel so bad. Is that normal?

Perhaps it's not the norm, but it's not unheard of either. Find something you enjoy to help bring out positive emotions. I'm sure there are plenty of different books to that could give better advice than I. One step at a time, my lad. We live our lives in that moment. You can do it.
