Hey! Call me Happy, I think an awful lot about a lot of fandoms and I’m oc obsessed too! This is not a Spoiler-Free blog, you’ve been warned!

This is my Cult of the Lamb side-blog. Don’t make many sideblogs but I felt this was more approriate to keep my main blog at least a lil cohesive!

Don’t be afraid to drop by with asks or stuff, I’m probably more nervous of you (I jest, I’m just slow and anxious to answer).

As this is a COTL blog there’s gonna be canon typical violence and blood so if you’re sensitive to that I’d stay away. Also might be suggestive jokes, but nothing more than that, again tagged appropriately. All posts will be tagged appropriately anyway. In the image of the role swap versions of Leshy and the Bishops, why is Heket the one gagged?

Was it because she the only who tried to fight back after Narinder was executed and she managed bite one of the cultists limbs off?

Btw I love the way the way you portrayed bishop siblings personalities while they are captive.

I'm assuming Leshy is a teenager here and is too traumatized by his brother's execution to repel against his captors.

Heket is glaring defiantly and you know she would bashing the cultists heads into mush.

Kallamar is of course cowering.

And Shamura is trying to keep a calm and defiant facade to hide the fear and sadness over Narinder'e death.

Thank you! I love trying to lean into personalities a lot while doodling - these siblings have such a grasp of my brain.

Heket is indeed gagged because she fought back hard, and loudly - gagged mostly because she wouldn't be silenced and was absolutely biting back. She was restrained the hardest because she was out for blood - consequences on her own self be damned.

Leshy isn't a teenager, all the siblings are adults - he is a young adult though at like 24 - but it's still. Extremely traumatising to see all your older siblings heavily restrained and your brother literally killed. He'll shove it down with jokes and a thrist for vengence afterwards - but in the moment its a lot to take in.

Kallamar is scared because. Yknow. Fair enough. Bro same.

And Shamura, oh Shamura, trying to contain their rage, their sadness, their fear from the siblings they feel they failed horrifically - the brother that died, that they were so desperate to protect. Trying to formulate a plan - yet how on earth are they going to get the remaining ones out of this?

I can’t wait to see the swap Bishop’s designs. Do they how many similarities for the ones in the original universe or are they slightly different? Also, how did the prophecy go like in this universe depending on if their relationships of the characters are the same in this universe as well?

ah, the only design for the Swap Bishops I fleshed out was Flinky, for the comic I doodled, but I do have sommmmme concept on how I want the others to look? generally, they’re different from the base designs. usually more sharp, like Flinky having two large exposed fangs. Still don’t know what Bop is gonna be doing. Bop is simply there.

…now I do realise you could be talking about the sibling Bishops rereading the ask, to which their designs are similar to the follower forms I draw them as for my base game universe (with clothing differences mainly). For the swap au I tend to refer to the base game Bishops as the siblings, and the actual swap aus Bishops as. Swap Bishops.

ANYWAY

In regards to the prophecy, it’s different as it - naturally - targets cats instead of lambs. Which results in a bit of a retcon for the Heretic comic as I doodled Annabe(My Yellow Cat) when really they should be dead. Bit of a whoops there - I do have a place to put them though (thanks Woolhaven). I do have a character in mind instead who helped Leshy try to escape, and doodles in mind as well so dw too much.

On the Swap Bishops side of things it’s similar to base game - where they hunted until it got to the last cat (Narinder) and wanted to ensure Lamb could never escape Purgatory. I suppose the difference mainly is instead of it being sealing away their sibling, these four are friends who ended up all raising Lamb as their kid (though Ratau is the more official father) - and so it’s their child they sealed away. Lamb is even more bitter than base game Narinder about it.

On the side of the siblings, it had been pretty much Narinders whole life on the run to avoid the slaughter - never in one place for too long and having to be on guard at all cost to prevent him from being taken and killed. Shamura’s biggest difference is instead of juggling godhood and raising siblings - they’re juggling avoiding Bishops, captors and general mortal dangers and raising their siblings.

In the Swap AU, I can imagine Shamura being the only one actually executed. They're still a protective sibling, after all. And if they can't escape, they can at least make the bishops' lives- whatever remains when they start to hear of a cat stalking around- a living hell.

Executed? No, though that's not entirely a mercy from the Bishops.

Though for sure, protective, distraught sibling that Shamura is - they fought tooth and nail in any way to put any kind of torture on them. If there's any kind of merciful god left, let the rest of their younger siblings be spared at least.

Its why, for example, Leshy even had an opening to attempt escape, as Shamura had been essentially goading the Bishops ire onto them - and lowering their watch on the other siblings.

Though terrified, Kallamar also tries to get the Bishops off the youngers back - but he's not nearly as brave or good at it as Shamura is.

question for the swap au who is swapped to be more specific who swapped with the bishops

It's the swap au, though not many are actually a 1 to 1 swap and more of a scramble lmao.

The bishops, for example, whilst swapped, are not a 1 to 1 swap with the Knucklebones gang. The bishops play a more primary role alongside Narinder, with different characters replacing the Knucklebones gang.

As for the swap Bishops: Leshy -> Flinky Heket -> Klunko (I. do not know where to put Bop yet) Kallamar -> Shrumy Shamura -> Ratau

Are they placed based on difficulty (bar Ratau)? Yes. Yes they are.

I still call it the swap au because Lamb and Narinder are swapped, and where the whole this spiralled from - but expect characters to be more of a role swap than complete swaps lmao

More Woolhaven doodles before I go full au mode again. I love Rami they're by far my favourite Woolhaven fella, and I think they and Odessa should crash out together listen

Odessa still loves her family, she just starts making passive aggressive comments at them about their fuck ups though. As she deserves girl wants to make things right and good.

Yknow, Yngya being God of Winter doesn't actually hurt my au writing that much, in fact, I can actually use that :)

Horace was my original God of Winter and the Tundra, and whilst I hadn't said it, the pantheon Shamura was original brought into was the Pantheon of the Seasons, with crownbearers of Spring, Summer and Autumn respectively.

Horace had original found a Shamura, hurt, weaker, crown atop head with weapon aloft - a fierce glare of surviving hardship after hardship. Yet still a newly made crownbearer, and so Horace gave them simply the ultimatum. Join or perish alone. And Shamura was a survivalist.

Yngya, found in the trenches of snow, protecting a small group from the element. Using herself to protect them from snow, ice and death, until Horace stumbled upon them. Horace's crown was impressed, and so was Horace, and so he split Winter with her, remaining Crown of Tundra alone. Thus Yngya would come to be known as the Cold Mother, and try to hold onto that kindness.

Shamura didn't like the Pantheon. Betrayal was all they knew, and though Horace wanted to guide them - their trust was not given to him. The others showed they had little interest and thus their power was all that mattered.

But Yngya? They. Bonded. Shamura had no friend before that. Their original circumstances showed that friendship could lead to betrayal at a moments notice. Was it this friendship with the Sheperd of Ice, or the adoption of Kallamar that softened their heart?

Basically I'm writing tragically that Yngya and Shamura were actually friends, as young crownbearers, and thus Yngya survived the war outbreak because Shamura could not bring themselves to hurt her.

Until they lost their mind. Until their family's life was on the line.

Until that damned prophecy.

At least once everytime I pass Odessa she's gossiping with either her dads or her aunt/uncles/entle. There is no inbetween. How can I not write her as the family's favourite lil guy if she's always being the favourite lil guy-

A personal struggle I have is picturing things happening over such a long timespan. Its a little easier for tpotc because its all involving gods.

But it does mean my au timeline doesn't nearly last for hundreds of years compared to other peoples and the events from start of game to current update takes, as I've mapped out for myself, about 21 years or so.

Which for gods its nothing but idk, I think there's something about the speed and frailty of mortality that humbles ex-gods real fast especially if your new God of Death vowed off ressurections after the last one reminded them of the real mortal lives being toyed with.

Of course theres also just. Lamb gave everyone a Gold Skull Necklace when they got a chance to because they're lonely and the kids just age real slowly (Skull Necklace) and it does actually take place over hundreds or so years.

There's two options to go ig.

Upon doing the lineup doodles I've been thinking about my timeline and settled on it being 21 years from game start to Woolhaven. Which is really funny - because most characterised followers are thus in their 30+40s by the time of Woolhaven, with of course some 20s and the kiddos.

Shamura gets to lead the older than that club with being like, what 60s?? ish, alongisde Amythel (50s) and Sozo (60s)

My Lamb committing to trying to disband the cult and leave people with their own autonomy and community I think makes more sense with the faster mortal timeline - and lends itself to my Bishops feeling a lot more of the weight of their actions than if it took hundreds of years.

My Lamb is a force and making changes way faster than even other Gods are used to. And I like how its starting to concern the Mystic Seller. Especially since soon Lamb is gonna leave for Purgatory (Woolhaven just delayed that)
