This whole discoure about overexposure also made me think about the time of certain fans of Z. Said if she decides to have a family with Tom. That her career would be over when Tom was talking about becoming a dad

I have this sitting in my inbox for a few days because I wanted to give a proper answer and I have many thoughts.

The first (and less important one) is that I don’t understand the idea that a pregnancy would be a career killer for Z. Ok, she would not be able to shoot for some months (not her whole pregnancy though as multiple actresses have proved), but in her profession especially it’s common to not be always 100% booked. I will say that the fact she has been going from set to set continuously for so long is an anomaly (euphoria has played a role in that), and at some point she will have a more normal schedule, especially as she transitions to film.

Other than that, she is a millionaire, her partner also, they also have large families, I would assume they are more than equipped to handle a baby when they want, much better than the millions of working women who have babies every day. If they choose to pick roles in order to keep close to family, again that doesn’t put her out of work, does it? Because that’s the only issue I can think of (I don’t think that one of them for example would need to stop working, unless they want to, and again, they have all the money in the world to do whatever they want).

But the second and most important thought, is why should anyone have a say in this? Women all over the world have to fight to have control over their bodies, why do fans feel entitlement over what happens in Z’s uterus? It’s not progressive to think like that, it’s actually immensely anachronistic to say that a woman should put her personal wishes on hold if she wants a successful career. We should be fighting to make it even easier for women to combine both (if they want), not pitting those wants against each other. Seeing fans say so confidently that she and Tom are on different tracks because he has said he wants to family and she needs to focus on her career now (or much worse iterations of this) baffles me. I assume if her partner is comfortable saying that, and they have a healthy relationship (which all signs point towards to), then that is something they have discussed and are on the same page about. The timeline is up to them, not anyone else.
