summer, 2006 I remember the road was so long

i have never understood why the sky was so shiny every time we went by this spot. why everything looked so blinding back then?

in my mind i used to see it like this

sometimes i used to wander alone around the residence and come across rusty iron gates and fences. it was a shame i could not share these exciting moments with my summer friends because june was too early and they were not there yet. i used to think they were limits not meant to be trespassed, that something bad could happen to me if i ever climbed over them. that's why i used to wait for them, so that we could face this danger together.
