The overwhelming seasonal need to move up north where its colder has arrived (and i must resist)

I think if I heard coyotes just once at my new place that would heal me, but alas I am in a city. Sometimes when I am just waking up i will think the siren from a fire truck zooming by is something howling for a split second

i do hear crickets though, and there are year-round doves and i adore them.

I want to be like you

Here is a stylized doodle from several weeks ago of a sled dog and his little fan. Getting the big fellas expression right was fun, I wanted something vaguely amused but maybe not quite happy about the little guys presence either

Howdy, i'm a biology student who has been doodling dogs and other (primarily four legged) critters for some time and thought it was as good a time as ever to start posting some semi-regularly. I am a full time biology student with a stereotypical big passion for re-wilding and it should come as no surprise that I grew up watching documentaries on the Yellowstone wolf reintroduction.

I am trying out some of the styles that I wanted to master when I was 12. In my non-online art life I tend to default to an art style that is a little more vintage, more 1960's postcard, more retro, so that will likely show up on here now and then.

My artistic tools of choice are whatever is nearest - often pencil and paper, or my ipad, and sometimes garageband on my laptop.

I am a big fan of fish and aquaculture as well.
