“New, fa one.” Carmen begins, in explanation, ticking things off on her fingers. “Didn’ know who I was, leas’ I think he didn’. Takes himself way too seriously-” At that she rolled her eyes, gave a huff of annoyance. “Doesn’ know wha’ he’s gettin’ into, know tha’ for a fac’.”
That they’d come out on top with this she had no room for doubt over, looking confident. “Bu’ we can use tha’.”
“He definitely doesn’t sound like anyone we had a run in wit’. I’ll sen’ da boys out. They’ll do da surveillance. Cause this is a threat ta her an’ in a sense, Maxwell. Las’ thin’ we need is dat cyborg gettin’ her wires twisted.”
He groaned. He didn’t like the cyborg but the boy had grown on him and Carmen. He was like a nephew to the family. He shook his head and looked down at his own daughter. Smiling he started to hum softly to her. A soft lullaby song.
“If ya wan’ me ta talk ta her, I’ll do i’.” Carmen offers. She’d gotten fond of Maxwell as well, knowing that this had the chance of affecting him did bother her. More so considering her hand in this.
Still there’s a proud warm smile on her face seeing the way he was acting with Dahlia, that acceptance what she’d been hoping for.
“Lets jus’ keep it between us fo’ now. Like I said, she’s one spark plug away from exploding so we betta tread lightly.”
Psycho Delic pulled his eyes away from his daughter to look at Carmen. He leaned forward and gave her a little peck on the cheek.
“Ya should sleep soon. Ya had a rough day. Sleep when baby sleeps yeah?”
He teased playfully to draw the seriousness out of the air.
