I kinda like imagining that somehow, someway, the giant earthquake that devastated the kingdom is in somehow somewaya result of some adventure our farmer went on before the events of the game in 80s/90s anime fashion were the hero is basically just cleaning up their own messes all the time

they probably activated a trap in one of the witch queens fallen castle pieces going after a big gem, got team rocket blasted off and most of their armor destroyed and money lost, leading them in their starting armor.

Okay was not expecting to wake up after playing several hours of Fields of Mistria and be greeted with the info that the artist for the game is not only close friends with Toby Fox but also did the art for Pink in Ch 5

I’m not mad for the record, I think it’s likely there is original art they want to wait to reveal or maybe it’s not quite ready yet but like… imagine some of the other character portraits with babies pasted on top… one assumes Eiland would hold a baby like this…
