I DON’T UNDERSTAND

Why does Lucy HAVE to be sexualized EVERY single fight this arc!

It’s pointless and out of place fanservice...

It’s demeaning and humiliating...

And it’s distracting from the seriousness of the plot and her character development......overall it’s SERIOUSLY getting sooooooo old...

There are a lot of good things about chapter 503, and I’m happy to see Lucy becoming so much braver and stronger throughout the arc, I just don’t understand why it’s important or relevant to sexualize her at the same time.

So personally, I’m not a huge Gruvia fan, but this chapter was very well done and Juvia’s sacrifice was extremely admirable and touching. If she really is dead and Hiro doesn’t suddenly bring her back I’d say her sacrifice has been one of the most heart warming and tragic in the series yet. (Along with Igneel, Aquarius, Simon, and Ur/Ultear)

I’m pretty sure this is just meant to be comedic banter, I doubt that Juvia means it in a spiteful way. I think that Lucy and Juvia’s friendship has developed further so they can make light jokes at each other’s expense. 

(Idk but maybe it’s  meant to parallel Gray and Natsu’s teasing banter, just a random thought)

I completely agree with you, but a lot of people have been putting a spiteful spin on it, which isn’t their characters at all.

(And tbh the parallel would be awesome, I live for that kind of brotp, but I don’t think it fits them 100% like natsu and gray. They’re more of you mess with one, you’ll answer to me kinds friendship and they support each other fully from what I’ve seen)

i think the same.. when natsu said to gray “bastard” and “Idiot” or sth like that haha nobody says nothing because obviously is friendship.. so why?? this scenes don´t take in the same way? is sistp or brotp.. she is teasing lucy.. because they are friend.. I DO this with my bestfriends too.. and don´t you tell me that you never said something like that to your friend only for kidding…
