The truth is, I’m not British, I’m American.

I hope my accent wasn’t too offensive, you see, my father was a small-time con man from Las Vegas, Nevada.

He taught me how to work an angle anytime, anyplace, anywhere, but one thing he never taught me, was how to be a decent person. When I arrived at the palace, I wasn’t a great guy, I wasn’t even a good guy, but a lot’s changed for me, I’ve changed and consider it a matter of honor, to take a bullet for your king. In fact, I’d take a bullet for any member of the royal family, because, in many ways, they’ve become the family that I never had.

Yes, there is. My heart has been taken by a very beautiful woman, I’m not gonna tell you who she is, but we look forward to a very long and full life together.

Like you I had an older brother, and like you I lost him far too early in life. Sarah was his daughter. It took six seconds for her to show me the wonder of the world, the brilliance, and the goodness. And then one day, a few years later, we were watching some of that brilliance leave us with the passing of your father and she turns to me and she says ‘you should help them daddy, they look sad.’ So yeah, I quit the force for a wayward girl who needed my help.
