I hate it when people use the both sides argument with the royals and rebels because every time I see someone do this I’m like what about Cerise and her sister and Duchess?! Like those 3 characters have the most darkest implications surrounding them especially when it comes to their destinies and what would happen to the two sisters if their heritage was discovered. Like that’s why Cerise being the first stand up to the Royals (one of whom was her former crush) when they were bad mouthing Raven is so impactful to me, Cerise wasn’t just defending her friend! Cerise was defending the girl who actually stood up for her and her family and several others like them who refused to be silenced by the fear of death and judgment! Raven didn’t only keep her secret, she actively fought that day to make sure that she wouldn’t even have to make it a secret anymore! Cerise starting the food fight was basically one of the people hurt by the system who was forced to hide who she was basically fighting back for the first time in her life!
