I finally unlocked the Bogsneak breed change scroll!
Let’s make sure I have everything I need…
Alright, no biggie.
Ugh, okay…
Happy Halloween!! Eat lots of candy and stuff!!!
I see this one like every year and I still dont know the characters involved but I love it, it’s not Halloween without the pumpkin dragons

Added some info because people were either curious or didn’t get it? I mean, I’m 7,000 notes too late to fix stuff since my comment “The twist is they are all dragons” was removed somewhere in the chain. I just really want people to laugh AND learn, ya know? DRAGONS!!

Need to get your bios done? Lore blocked?
Check out 4thewords.com You can:
Create a character (M or F, but hair/eyes/mouth/clothing can be from either gender)
Make a project that can have as many or as few chapters/sections as you want
Battle monsters by writing. Harder monsters have higher word counts, but better loot
Complete quests by writing at different monsters and advance the main story
The site has a robust word editor and auto-saves to the cloud, and also has publishing and export functions
All words remain your own!
If you go inactive, you can still access your words.
(You don’t have to be an elf, that’s a me problem.)
I did these two projects:
This is super useful because my bios are generally 500 words, and there is this monster:
You don’t have to fight monsters to write, though! You can edit with no time limit, and finish a story that’s too done to need another battle.
My point is, if you’re having trouble completing bios/getting that next chapter on your lore done, maybe making it a literal game will help? The site isn’t free ($4/mo), but there’s a month free trial and that’s plenty of time to crank out some lore and get your dragons bio’d. Y’all should definitely give it a look. I can’t recommend it enough.
I returned to my work atmosphere (?)

Are you a lore clan that loves to interact with other lore clans, but realise that in your RPs you can’t find a common meeting ground besides your clan territory, or just vague descriptions using FR’s limited world? Overusing the same locations over and over again? Can’t think of a good place in Sornieth that isn’t one of the four descriptors in each territory? Realise there’s no common ground in the world that is even vaguely civilised?
I present to you the Sornieth Lore Project (SLP).
What is the SLP? The SLP is a community project designed to involve FR players in designing a common world that lore clans (or anyone really) can use in their lore. This means creating a world that is bigger than what FR has given us, coming up with new locations within the 11 territories, functions, and purpose.
With community input, we can create a world that is far more vibrant and colourful with plenty of common meeting grounds for clans that adopt the world (or parts of it) into their lore. Areas of worship, Universities, tourist attractions, natural wonders, culture and heritage hubs, mega malls, clubs, cities, everything you can imagine can be created and inserted into the world.
How does it work? The SLP is primarily a place to discuss and craft new areas within Sornieth. Well developed areas will be included onto a list of “unofficially official” areas within Sornieth that can be openly used by anyone to include in their lore. The SLP aims to design various parts of a world that makes Sornieth more lively than just a bunch of dragons on islands yelling at each other and beating up beastclans.
How can I join? The SLP is not yet open - this is really just an interest check. If you’re interested in being pinged for the near-future release of the SLP (once I’ve prettied things up and found a better way to explain this), do reblog this post with your FR username to let me know.
How can I help? The SLP is open for anyone to join and help, since it’s primarily discussion. However, if you’re keen on collecting info in the discussions and writing up more detailed posts on lore areas that have been talked about in the discussions, or helping with graphics, do let me know!
It’s all super vague right now and I’m not the best at explaining things, but I really think this can work with enough support. Do feel free to give me feedback on what I have so far!
I’d be interested in participating in this! My username is princessfirefly
Capsule
The ‘dragons bubble’, or elemental gland, is located on a dragons neck under their chin. It functions as a sort of storage when charging elemental spells. Some individuals have large elemental glands that can be seen even when not in use, others are barely noticeable at all times. The size of a dragons elemental gland does not affect the power of their magical abilities, but it does however change how they may harness it. A smaller gland favors stealth, accuracy, and range while a larger one favors brute force, endurance, and close up fighting or work with their magics.
A Capsule Dragon is a dragon whos biology has been artificially altered through alchemy, bionics, or other means to have thier elemental gland take up nearly the whole underbelly of the dragon. An alchemy aquired Capsule Dragon may spread their alteration onto offspring. The result of this modification stretches their skin to the point it is nearly transparent, allowing others to see the glands contents from the outside. Under normal circumstances, a regular elemental gland will only hold onto any power when it’s user is casting magics. However, Capsule Dragons hold onto element energy almost all the time to keep thir glands intact - without the regular pressure their bellies will deflate.
The power of Capsule Dragons is great - exceeding the power of a regular dragon by almost ten times. However it does not come without sacrifice. Besides the exhaustion that comes with a body supporting a capsule belly the skin surrounding it is also very thin, making it a huge weak spot. If any of it is damaged the elemental gland will loose pressure and make it useless until repaired as well as spilling its contents everywhere, harming all peoples and objects around it including the dragon themselves.
There are a few theories on how the first Capsule Dragon came into existence. An attempted grab for power, a happy alchemical accident, mad exparamentation. Darker theories suggest they where created to harvest the elemental energies such large elemental glands produce from the living dragons themselves. None know for certain how the artificial gene came to be.
also is it just me or does anyone else feel like standing around the home page with torches and chanting ‘bring out the gene bring out the gene’
Reblog for good Coli luck!
