So... it's been a year since Bedfellows updated and while chapter 3 is coming i might not be as soon as I would like...
I really wanted to address this specially since I sent the story into a hiatus without really acknowledging it: I have to admit that I posted chapter one on a whim and I didn't really expected it to become my most popular fic and even if I was pleasantly surprised, I wasn't really that sure where the story was going, like yeah, I had an outline but the finer details still escaped me which made writing it a real challenge that required more time than what I had for it, reason why without even meaning to I began to focus more in other things that were easier to write; that said, make no mistake: all this time I have been slowly working my way back into the story by figuring out motivations and plot points (Troll pregnancies are confusing even while I am the one writing them) and I really think the outline now looks better than it did when I posted chapter one to the point I am planning more chapters than the four I had scripted.
In conclusion: Thank you for your patience, I am sorry for how long the wait has been and I am sorry I have to ask you guys to wait a little longer... here get the first scene of chapter three as a treat and an apology (mind you this scene might change as the chapter is not finished):
"Do you know that the best guitar nuts are made out of bone?"
Floyd busted out laughing.
"Seriously, that is your best pick up line?" Riff blushed furiously, he didn't look offended by Floyd's reaction, just embarrassed.
"Well, I wouldn't call it a pick up line"
"On that I agree" Floyd took a sip of the most amazing drink he had ever tasted and smiled; you could say whatever you liked about the Rock Trolls but the truth was that they threw better parties than the Pop Troll and with better drinks too.
Ditching the party he had been invited to and joining Riff and his friends had been the best decision he had made all month (Not that it had been a tough competition, considering that the only other decision he had made all month was changing his skin cleanser from the one that smelt like Rose water to the one that had Vitamin D in it; most Trolls would be surprised to find out that superstardom was more about following orders than giving them).
"I can't help it... you make me nervous" Riff leaned back and took a swing of his own drink that was adorned with three cocktail umbrellas.
"I make you nervous? I haven't done anything!" No one mentioned how close the Pop Troll was to the other Troll despite having the whole couch to themselves after Riff friends wandered off into the party.
"... It's the way you look at me" Riff shrugged " It’s as if I am interesting to you"
"You are interesting to me" For more than one reason but Floyd was not drunk enough or perhaps he was just sufficiently sober to stop himself from ruining whatever fragile connection he was building with the handsome Rock Troll by gushing about all the ways he found said (very attractive) Troll fascinating; instead he simply leaned more into Riff's personal space "Who else is going to tell me about guitar nuts and stuff like that?" The air between the two Trolls felt heavy, filled to the brim with emotions neither of them wanted to describe "…You were right; it is a very good pick up line"
"How so?" Riff reached for another umbrella from the jar on the table in front of them; probably trying to keep his paws busy as the space between the two Trolls slowly disappeared.
"Well, now I am torn between kissing you or asking you what makes bone nuts so superior" Riff swallowed audibly.
"Guitar nuts are not that interesting…" They stared at each other for a few seconds before Floyd was throwing himself at the drummer who welcomed him in his arms with equal enthusiast.
They had time to talk about bone nuts and other guitar parts later, for now their priorities laid elsewhere…
Okay, so feel free to ignore me I just like to think out loud and rant about Fliff buuuuuut....
I 100% agree this is how normal Fliff would act while dealing with an emotional situation like the one Ruby and Sapphire are dealing with here; like imagine if Brozone had reunited much earlier in the timeline, while Floyd was younger and still processing the not so nice emotions of his childhood and was probably still bearing the brunt of his brothers' unresolved issues...
This would mean that Floyd would be very emotional, quick to anger and/or tears while Riff would basically act like an emotionless wall.
Riff would be like: it's not my place to be angry at my boyfriend's brothers; plus it's obvious that Floyd is going to forgive them, he loves his brothers and will remember that eventually, so why would I make things awkward for me later by being mean and angry at this total strangers if I can just be nice to them and make everything easier for everyone on the long run?
And any time Floyd rants to him, Riff would be playing devil's advocate for Brozone, be rational and calm Floyd down... this goes on until Floyd gets frustrated of Riff just shrugging and reminding him that he can't be angry at his brothers forever...
So Floyd accuses him of not caring about him or his feelings and "not being on his side".
Which would led them to a fight were Riff would admit that he really wants to just leave and take Floyd away from the Trolls that make him so miserable but deep down he knows that Floyd will never be truly happy without his brothers...
Sooooo yeah I totally see this happening outside of this AU which makes it even more perfect me thinks...
Anyways the video is great I love the art and I thank the artist for their hard work; 1000000000/10 you make me wanna create more Fliff. ( I am really sorry for the rant I just think this SU chapter (and Garnet in general) fits Fliff so perfectly I had to write this down to process it all).

the reasons why I added the fliff tag was because almost all the fusion have Floyd and riff in them technically and with all honesty they are garnet in this au so I am basically putting people in love in a form of a being with other people and this is already part of the whole thing)

Al Hamdallah I just finished the project that I have been working on for two months and it’s a 10 minutes video imagine people who are making movies. I know I’ve said that before but Masha Allah we are giving animators less attention and respect then they actually deserve
Because I did not animate this, I just took pictures and drew on top of them my characters
I just draw I don’t know how to animate. I try to and it’s very hard and very frustrating, because with all honesty, I would rather draw without thinking, because if I drew while thinking I over pressure myself and overthink every stroke and every idea this is why I prefer drawing things other than humans because if I have to draw humans, I would think about each leg how much they should measure I just overthink everything
But anyways, this is part one of my project and Inshallah, you will see part two

Basically Riff brought his ten kids to the world tour and trying to find Floyd in the process
On my desk I have this cute Kuromi and My melody erasers that I sometimes feel judge me while I work, specially while I stare at a blank page that is supposed to contain the next chapter of my fics, which is where the phrase "You can edit bad writing, you can't edit a blank page" comes into play; it's the best writing advice I have ever gotten and something I try to remind myself constantly; it means that even if you think it's awful you should write it, you can make it pretty later, first focus on getting it into the page.
Anyways a little while ago I noticed my writing companions share color palettes with my favorite fluffball couple... so yeah, I had to make a fusion between them (under the cut there are individual pics of them + a clean ver. of them together).
They look so beautiful with each other colors that you could barely tell the difference…The only reason why it looks rushed it’s because my iPad is on 4% currently… but really they look so beautiful together with and without each other colors

And don’t worry, Floyd actually bought this so he could get out with Riff and make sure he doesn’t get lost , and this is what it looks like inside, Floyd did all those designs, their pearl necklaces a lot of flowers pinecone, I wanted to add some food, but I thought it would be like a highly a bit unnecessary…. Since they’re already going out to eat..
And here is floyd smooching his tiny boyfriend , and Floyd and Riff having a take care day , Floyd is being seen brushing Riff’s hair with one of the Barbie dolls brushes that you get with the doll, and here is Riff having the time of his life laying on his big boyfriend head
His soulmate, his very tall soulmate, they make it work.
And something very funny, but also very nostalgic about Floyd skin color. I actually use the dark magenta very, very dark and then like faded it which made it look with the white background similar to chocolate milk,
the one that you made by powder from that bunny… I forgot the name is something called quick I guess, we used to put it in plastic purple cups with milk that is made by powder and hot water and then you stir it and then you put the powder along with it so you can have chocolate milk…. And it taste very nostalgic and the skin color made me remember all chocolate milk they used to drink.

The last one on the right is actually the first design and then I redesigned him because I didn’t see it fit the place , I even made a little comic!, it’s not but it was a scenario that I saw… not in the movie!!!
It was supposed to be Riff only and then it was Floyd and then Clay and then it was branch and then poppy and viva came into it, I am abit interested to keep adding
The reason why I made it with a fliff it’s because Floyd and Riff are married and I even made a plane to explain the backstory
