"Haha! That's half the reason why we're here!" Capsaicin rattles a box of spicy treats and chuckles at Puprika's ears darting up. Hm. I wonder if the doggies inside the barracks could hear that? Let's find out. He turns to the door and knocks. "Heeey! Crunchy Chip! Got time for a visit?"

The door to the barracks slides open, and sure enough right in front of Capsaicin there's a group of curious wolves waiting.

Crunchy Chip looks around as the barracks door is shoved open to stay, eyes lighting up at the sight of a friend. "Capsaicin Cookie!!" He grins, hurrying over to him. "It's good to see you!! C'mon in!" He waves the group of wolves to let up on Capsaicin, and some of them part to let the spicy cookie inside.

Elysium pads over to the entrance as well, tail wagging when he sees Puprika. Hello again!! Long time no see! Sneef snorf. How are you? Wag wag.

Capsaicin nearly jumps at the unexpected number of eyes on him.

"OH! PUPPIES! HI PUPPIES! :D!!!!"

Puprika pushes through his legs and merges with the crowd. Commence aggressive sniffing and excitable barks. Yaay friends!

"Crunchy, it's good to see ya!" Capsaicin laughs and offers a hand shake, "Feeling good and energised today? Nothin' hurts, right?"

"Yeah, as I've ever been," Crunchy hums, shaking Capsaicin's hand and mentally checking himself over. "You? It's been a while since we've talked, I keep meaning to come by but it's not been traveling weather lately," he rolls his eyes, waving Capsaicin inside. "C'mon in! You and Puprika must be cooler than usual. The only hot thing i have to offer is a cup of hot cocoa... you want some?"

Elysium chuffs, padding over and sniffing Puprika. Hi there, how have you been? Wag wag.

"Good," He grins sharply, not letting go of Crunchy's hand. And- Oh god- Crunchy is lifted up and thrown into the softest thing he could see.

"YOU!" He announces, voice booming with pride, "Don't forget that I still want a rematch!

"Wha-oOH WHA-OOF-!!" Crunchy Chip yelps, landing on the spare beds. He laughs, making sure to slip his gauntlet off his arm before pushing up and off the beds, charging at Capsaicin.

"EEYAH!! REMATCH GRANTED, BUB! LET'S DO THIS!" he shouts, tackling Capsaicin—which is more like just trying to tip the bigger Cookie over. Play-fighting, since actual fighting would require his gauntlet and he's not about to turn a blade on a friend. Willingly, anyway. Fuck Affogato.

"YEAAAAHHHH!!!! I knew you'd be on board!"

Capsaicin lets Crunchy charge at him, knowing full well it would take a lot more to knock him over. It's easier to catch the little guy that way too. He's just so equipable...

Crunchy finds a firm grip on his wrists and they're held behind his back. What's his next move?

He jumps, jostling Capsaicin's hold. With the momentum, he basically runs up Capsaicin's profile, kicking him in the face and twisting backwards out of Capsaicin's grip.

"HA!" he laughs, running between Capsaicin's legs. Where's he going??

Witches, he had forgotten how fast this guy is. Even Puprika is impressed, who is sitting on the sidelines and barking with excitement. Go go go!

He twists on his heels and raises his cape, using it to obscure the aim of Crunchy's next attack.

Crunchy yanks the cape from Capsaicin's arms, trying to make him lose his balance.

Elysium nudges Puprika, tail in the air and wagging. Want to play too?

Big bork. Oh you're so on, Ely!

Capsaicin hears her and has to do a double take to make sure Puprika isn't running in carelessly, which does indeed help make him trip. He falls backwards on his ass, but laughs.

Meanwhile Puprika runs circles around Ely and playfully nips at it's ears.

Ely's tail wags in response, running in circles around Puprika as well. Like a sort of pendulum swing dance thing.

Crunchy Chip simply laughs, holding out his hand to help Capsaicin up. Doubt he's strong enough to lift all THAT, but he'll try.

He takes Crunchy's hand and returns to his feet. He shakes himself off like a dog and fixes up his cape that had twisted around.

"Bro you're STILL too fast for me! One of these days I'm gonna catch to ya and then you'll be in trouble! Hahaha!!!"

"The small size comes in handy for more than you think," Crunchy laughs. "Boy, the day you land a hit on me is probably the day I pass away, man. I'm afraid of how hard you hit! Wouldn't wanna be on the other end of it, that's for sure. You pack a hell of a punch."

Capsaicin laughs awkwardly- only to be interrupted by Puprika brushing past while escaping Ely.

"I'm... afraid of that too," he replies, watching the wolves do zoomies, "I hold back. A lot. But with you, it's easier on my mind cuz even if I fail and swing too hard, you'll always dodge in time. That's part of the reason why I enjoy training with you.

But the main reason is you're pretty fun, haha."

"Aww, thank you! High praise," he chuckles. "I enjoy sparring with you, too. You're good practice for some of the bigger predators in these mountains, especially in that bigger form of yours; finding ways to take you down or even just off your guard are pretty fun. I just gotta remember to keep the gauntlet on for those, ha."

"THE Crunchy Chip? Needing practice? Whatever you face out there MUST be worth a look!" He hooks an arm around Crunchy's shoulder and pulls him closer, "If ya ever need a hand fighting em, you should def call me uuuup!~ Those baddies won't stand a CHANCE!"

Puprika chuffs, "With your help the whole mountain will melt. Better leave it for the professionals."

"No need to feel bad about that, haha! I do it all the time, it's literally my job. I'm as used to the cold as you are to the heat!"

Ely rolls his eyes, relaying the conversation. Crunchy chuckles.

"Alotta fun," his voice softens, reminiscing. "I thought chickens were chaotic enough but wolves are a WHOLE 'nother level. Puprika's good though. If she's comfortable enough to banter, I must be doing something right."

Puprika wags her tail at the memory of first arriving at Scovillia and all the students crowded her for pets. She felt like a god. "Once you get used to the heat and noise, it's not bad there. I doubt Ely could handle it though."

"The wolves are pretty awesome. There's so many of them, but I love all of them. They do good work."

He walks over and gives the two wolves pets.

Crunchy treads over to the corner, uncovering a large freezer that he has some trouble dragging out. He opens it, lugging several meat jellies onto a low platform—like one big feeding bowl—which the wolves slowly filter out of their dens to start eating out of.

Crunchy himself, forgetting he ought to cook his own fair share, takes a small drum of meat out of the freezer and starts to tear off and eat the meat jelly raw.

Capsaicin blinks. What the actual fuck. THAT WAS RAW MEAT???????

He takes Crunchy's arm, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Ya serious, bud? That's uncooked! You'll give yourself a tummy ache!"

Crunchy blinks in turn, finishing the bite. "Oh. Right.. sometimes I forget I should cook it. I've accidentally eaten so much raw meat, I'm just used to it now... haha." He shrugs it off, continuing to eat the raw meat. No problems here! Nom.

"No, let me cook it for you," Capsaicin insists, coming across as a lot more stern this time.

He fetches his own meat jelly from the fridge and holds it over his free hand- Which was now alight. It doesn't take long before it browns and he offers it back to Crunchy.

"You don't have a wolf tummy, bud. You can't break down the good stuff on your own without a lil help."

"Oh, uh- thank you, Cap- didn't mean to upset you. Thank you, really." He takes the cooked meat, biting into it and letting the pups take the half-eaten drum he'd been snacking on.

"I've seriously eaten raw meat jellies before. Lost count of how many. Sometimes I just forget I'm not a wolf, too," he laughs, holding the drum back out to Capsaicin. "Want some? You cooked it, so..."

"Hahaha! It's no problemo! I dunno how you've managed to survive so long on the raw stuff. Your gut must be like, workin' overtime."

He gladly takes some and throws it down the hatch. It's not spicy but it'll do. He then giggles at the thought of Crunchy eating a properly seasoned meal for once and nearly chokes.

"Witches, we gotta take you out for dinner one night."

Crunchy nearly chokes on his own bite of food. "W-whuh-?! You don't have to do that-! I'm perfectly happy with my rations and meat jellies, I don't want you spending money on me-!" He flusters, suddenly feeling somewhat defensive. He remembers how Affogato used to indulge in fancy foods, assuming that's what Capsaicin means—and he's not about to be like that snake by any means, even if those means are just what he shoves down his gullet.

...He is kinda curious about the kind of food Capsaicin Cookie eats, though. If it's as (quote-unquote) "inedible" as Cacaoian food like he's heard through the grapevine, maybe that's even something to bond over with his friend. If that's what Capsaicin means, well..

...there's a chance he could be persuaded to come along.

"No wonder you're tiny! Rations and meat jellies ain't a balanced diet! Ya gotta SPICE IT UP every now and then."

He smirks and his voice deepens with mischief, "Besides, aren't ya curious? Aren't you bored of the same old, same old? Maybe you'll find some cooking inspiration to impress your spouse wiiiith!~"

"They're nutritious..! Enough!" He retorts. "Besides, poisoning my body with frivolous meals will only weaken my dough and make me susceptible to psychological warfare. I have to keep my mind just as strong as my body!" He crosses his arms.

"Wildberry doesn't mind the Cacaoian rations, either. He's had them before! They're.. not his favorite thing to eat, but he's fine with them, and—"

...Well, he's verbally backed himself into a corner, really. He's let himself be coaxed into eating something hearty (and usually sweet, given Hollyberrian cuisine) by his fiancé, so why is he defensive when his friend is trying to do the same?

Capsaicin falls silent for a moment, mentally debating why Crunchy is so against a simple outing.

"Crunchy. When you're too busy concerning yourself with nutrition, you're really only gettin' half the benefit. It's okay to let go and eat something just for the taste. A self-indulgent meal is just as good for you as a 'healthy' one."

He gives Elysium a good scratch on the head before passing over a treat.
