OOC Intro Post!

This is a Bruce Banner roleplay blog not based on any specific universe. I've been a fan of Banner and Hulk for a while, but I am, unfortunately, not a nuclear physicist. I may not be as smart as him, but I know a lot of lore. So... yeah. We vibe. It might not be the MOST in character blog, but it'll be fine.

Bruce talking will look normal.

On the (likely) few occasions Hulk talks, it will look like this.

OCs are welcomed and encouraged to interact along with other character blogs. Don't be a dick. If it's in character, I guess it's relatively okay. Just don't push it too far, y'know?

You can address asks to Hulk, just specify.

I might post some random little things like journal entries and stuff. Just for the lore. Or drawings of Bruce and others.

Question to both: What are your thoughts on Landsharks?

My experience with landsharks is limited to Jeff, and as long as he doesn't get into anything he's not supposed to, he can hang out in my lab. He's an agent of chaos, sure. But I don't mind having him around.

How many times have you taken fall damage?

That would depend on what you mean. If you're talking about times I've fallen from great heights, several. I eventually stopped counting. I've thrown myself off numerous high places to bring the Other Guy out, other people have pushed me off great heights, and I also happen to trip frequently. You get used to it.

Just because I've been asked about video games before, I'll answer for that also. Many times.

Hey Hulk, what is one hobby that you like doing that a lot of people dont expect you to do?

I collect glass sculptures.

(Since I only watched Avengers: Assemble S1-4 and not S5, I pretty much learned something about Igor in that one episode.. if ykyk.)

I don't enjoy speaking badly about people. Drenkov is intelligent, and he wanted recognition. Who doesn't?

That said, he consistently confused "I can" with "I should," which is a dangerous habit in any scenario, but it is especially dangerous in our field. He was willing to sacrifice lives to become a "celebrated hero like Hulk." At some point, those aren't just bad decisions anymore. They're your principles.

Have you ever drawn anything before? (same anon that says that I might ask you a lot of questions and even the post about the question cats or dogs)

I actually kept a sketchbook for a while. Though, I didn't draw anything particularly impressive. It mostly consisted of coffee mugs, the occasional landscape, pencils, or whatever happened to be sitting still long enough.

My intention wasn't to make great art. It was to slow my mind down and keep myself grounded, therefore keeping the Other Guy from causing a scene. It seemed to work, but I misplaced the sketchbook at one point or another and haven't drawn much since.

From one to ten, how much do you love Science? It can be infinity, I don't mind but I'm veryyyy curious anyways lol-

I can tell how much you like science and how you are interested in learning a bit more about it. As someone who doesn't like science, science sure is interesting but sometimes it can be veryyy confusing... For some people tho.

- The same anon who spread how relatable you are and how I relate to you. (I'm a yapper so warning I might ask a few more questions later on when my brain gave me another one, but this is for fun lol-)

Assuming that one is the lowest and ten is the highest, I'd choose eight. Two points were taken off simply because, though science can do so much good, it can also do terrible things. That is a rather broad question, though. If I had more time, I would go into more detail. Unfortunately, I do not have much time.

Dr. Banner, You were my favorite the moment I first saw you on screen back in the Battle of New York. Out of everyone in the cast of Avengers, I found you the most relatable honestly. (I hated the part when the Helicarrier started flying...I agree that it was way worse...) I thought you were the funniest even when you are in the same room as Tony Stark. I didn't know why I felt so drawn to you but then I saw Hulk coming out and realize that I saw myself in you. I may not know exactly what you went through but I understand your pain and your sadness and I wish every variant of you happiness even when some are more hopeless than others.

I know you're kind of a recluse Doc because of the big guy but I find you two plesant to be around. I think you two are great company when people are not walking around eggshells around you two. Also I firmly believe that you two are funny in similar yet different ways. Everytime I see you two, either and both of you, it brings a smile on my face.

Anyways here's a question for both: What is one good thing you can say about the other?

Something good I can say about Hulk... he cares more than some might assume. He can be gentle when he wants to be, and sometimes people, myself included, forget or don't realize that that.

About the last post that you answered, yeah it's true. (The same anonymous who asked you about your favorite things to do in life and the Betty Ross one, again.) When I learned about you, it's interesting. You have always been my favorite from the start, I first found out about you when I was younger and growing up, I feel like I'm starting to understand what you went through and I relate a lot, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one here who has the same trauma, anger (I have anger issues too, trust me. 😔), etc.

The difference is, I do not know science but it's interesting to know that you like science and are smart at it, for me I do not like science but I can see why you find it interesting and fun to do sometimes. I cannot say much, this may not be a question and I'm not venting or anything but I'm just letting you know that you're not the only one who went through that, most people do but they just don't see it because they are trying to hide it nor they can understand probably.

Oh yeah and this is why you're an amazing person and Avenger. :3

This is also why I like Bruce and why I started this blog. He is a character I've found myself relating to throughout my life and struggles. He's definitely my favorite Avenger. We're not alone, anon.

Also, sorry for the rather blah response. I'll be honest, it's almost four in the morning, and I wasn't entirely sure how to respond. But I just want you to know, genuinely, that you're not alone and that you seem very kind.

Excuse me Doctor Banner, how does it feel to know that you and Hulk have fans? How do you feel about knowing that someone out there learns about your history and struggles and feels seen because of it? How do you also feel that you two are some people's favorite Avenger? Have you ever recieved or saw fanart of you and the big guy?

I don't really know how to feel.

Knowing that anyone looks at my life and sees something worth admiring is strange in my eyes. Like most, I have a tendency to focus on everything I've done wrong. Every mistake, all the damage I or Hulk have done, the lives we couldn't save, all of that stuff.

But knowing that people out there are able to look at my life and not feel so alone—that they feel seen because of our struggles? That means a lot. More than I can fully express.

If you've ever felt like you're carrying around something inside you that nobody else understands, whether it be anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, fear, or anything of the sort, and the big guy and I's story has made you feel less alone, then maybe it wasn't entirely for nothing after all. I wish you didn't have to go through those things, but please know you aren't alone in them.

As for fanart, I've seen some of it. You artists are incredibly talented. It amazes me how someone can create something so beautiful with their own creativity. I'm flattered that people have chosen to draw us. As for receiving it... not often do I receive it. Though, that is likely (at least partially) my own fault, as I tend to be a bit reclusive, and when I'm out in the open, I'm often green and not the most approachable.

And being someone's favorite Avenger... I suppose everyone is someone's favorite. I'm honored, even if I do think there are better options.
