This bike is beautiful
I was wandering the other day and stopped in for a bite to eat at a Panera in the area. I was carrying my helmet when I went in, and had to hold the door for a middle-aged dude, his little daughter (3-4, probably) and an elderly lady who I’m guessing was his mother (in her dusking years). When they went through and I followed, the dad said to his daughter, “Look, honey, that’s the guy that was on the motorcycle!” She stared at me in sheer awe. It was adorable, so I held my helmet out for her to touch, which she did with the utmost reverence. The old woman said, “A motorcycle!” She said it with equal fascination, which I hadn’t expected. Generally, the looks I get from older folks when I’m riding are … unsavory. But she went on to say, “You know, I’ve always wanted to touch a motorcycle!” So I held the helmet out to her to hold, too. She didn’t quite hold it—she was a bit frail. But it was so sweet. After, the dad said with a warm smile, “They really like motorcycles.”
