Day 6 ″Look to the Shadows”
Canon Australia is challenging people with a 30 day project https://30daysofleap.tumblr.com/. Not having a lot of time to search for shadows not finding anything yet I was getting discouraged. At the end of the day I saw these outside by office. Most people would walk by these shadows but my eyes were wide open and in a few minutes I captured them.

Week 40 “Near North Riverfront”
Great fun shooting with Photo Flood group! Always so fun to shoot with like minded people.
A little about the area: Near North Riverfront is a bastion of St. Louis’ past industrial might, so much so, that any stroll through the neighborhood could be considered a walk through a veritable museum of manufacturing. Many big businesses, like Proctor and Gamble, still call the area home for their local operations. The neighborhood is also one of flux, having at one time in its history been a sort of western suburb for the Cahokian civilization east of the Mississippi, it is now set to change dramatically again if the controversial, new football stadium proposal is successful.
Week 39“North Broadway Door”
Dipped into unedited photos to take find this amazing door in one roughest parts of St. Louis City. Beauty everywhere...
Week 38“Benton Park ”
Love this classic neighborhood. Decided to do explore it tinted.
Week 27“Midtown”
Love the contrast of this area rich and poor so close together and beauty found in both places.
Week 3 "Take a Walk"
"Thursday evening we realized Gavyn's left shunt was broken. We brought him to the ER and were admitted for the night" This was our week."
My son Gavyn has hydrocephalus "a condition in which fluid accumulates in the brain, typically in young children, enlarging the head and sometimes causing brain damage." His young 4 year old life has been plagued by surgery and therapy. This week was one of the hardest times in his and our lives. He had 2 surgery all very complex and the pressure was on, lots waiting lots of stress, lack of sleep. Was this a time to go shoot photos? One might not think so but it was exactly what I needed. After this 45 min walk with camera I felt focused and refreshed. To be shooting photos on the street is mediation and prayer to me, seeing the light all around me is calming to my soul. I believe God used this experience to show me that everything going all right and to not give up on those things that make us feel complete. Gavyn is doing very well and will be going home after a tomorrow.
Week 2 : Google Venice
These are photos of my Google trip to Venice. The Google street view trip of Venice was an surprisingly immersive experience that allows one to get lost in this beautiful city. I tried to “shoot” like I would on any other shoot and try to get great images and find moments. I was surprised at the level of detail of the images I saw and impressed that I was able to go down most all of the Venice’s alleyways and see in to shops. To state the obvious Google continues to be amazing and I look forward to more adventures in Google street view treks. https://www.google.com/maps/about/behind-the-scenes/streetview/treks/
