if ur having trouble with revisions the first chapter some advice i can give is to try working on a scene in the story that isn’t necessarily the first chapter but smth that comes to ur mind easily.

I know some people will complain that Ruby’s arc was ““totally pointless”” because she didn’t choose to change but for a character driven by imposter syndrome to try and emulate someone else this was the best possible message.

Ruby has never chosen herself before, because she’s been trying to be anyone but herself until now, which is why realising that her self alone is enough was her growing, and was exactly what she needed to begin healing.
