Greta's axe
I already mentioned that Greta deeply cared about her axe, so here is the story...
When their adventures began, they were three : Greta, Torculna and Aeron. Shaa'zzz, a squamate (lizardman), quickly joined, and Torculna left. Then came Flaminia, priestess of randomness.
Adventures after adventures, they started bonding. Aeron had a mark from chaos, and gained, little by little, mutations that transfigured him. He was Greta's companion since the beginning, a dear friend to all of them.
However, one day, they were fighting a demon of chaos. Greta used her axe the best she could, but nothing had prepared them...
"You, Child of Chaos!"
The demon pointed at Aeron, and a burst of chaotic energy filled him. Mutations sprouted all over his body until he became a monster. He started attacking his friends.
Once they had defeated the demon, the party was devastated to discover that Aeron didn't return to his original form. Their friend was no more.
However, incapable of abandoning hope, they chose to use the priestress' powers to seal the monster in Greta's axe, until they find a way to bring him back.
Afterward, a tiny tentacle and an eye appeared on Greta's weapon ; the two first mutations Aeron had acquired.
Greta cherishes this axe, because her dearest friend is inside, and she still believes that someday, trey can have him back.
