May I possibly just say how perfect everything is coming together? I finally landed the guy I have been in love with for 5 or more years and we have an apartment with both of our names on it. He is as/if not more excited I am about the new addition to our home. Our beautiful girl will be here in 27 days!!!
Did I mention I’be been able to hold a job? I mean sure, my bi-polar is not gone, but I feel it has gotten to a point where I can rationalize which is making things a lot easier for me.
I have never been happier. I have my dreams coming true right in front of my eyes and I’m terrified, but the best part is...I’m okay with it and I know my best friends will be there every step of the way.
With that being said, there are so many people I used to associate with saying they miss the “old me”. Why? The old me was a terrible person who was beaten down and mean. Just; because I don’t constantly go out and fucked up does not mean that I’m not me anymore. It simply means that I’m growing up and getting my priorities in check. Any real friend would be proud that I’m getting my life together, not upset. Also, just; because we don’t talk all the time doesn’t mean I’m casting you to the side, it means that I am an adult that doesn’t have time to constantly keep in touch.
I am just so thankful for the people I do have in my life. Thank you to the people who have stuck with me through this process and I can’t wait for the Godmother of my child to meet her new best friend and I really hope she sees this.
