Stern Pinball's Rush Premium V. 1.10
For me, you can't start summer without playing a couple of games of Cyclone. This classic Williams pinball from 1988 is perfect for setting the summer vibe. While the game is meant to replicate an amusement park, the name does hint at a particular seaside area known for amusement rides (Coney Island anyone?). I love the inclusion of a spook house feature with a classic vampire that looks like it was ripped right out of Dante's Inferno. If you get a chance be sure to give Cyclone a play!
It's officially the first day of summer! Just remember to be careful at those crazy amusement parks!
It's officially summertime here at the Arcade Hunters and things are starting to heat up! Get ready for some summer themed arcade games and summer arcade gaming memories!
I’ve got my doubt about the aerodynamics, but if it works, it works!
While taking a quick break at a Cracker Barrel I spotted this Super Mario Wonder Ball and had to check it out. The box art is great with the art style leaning towards Super Nintendo era Mario. The included prize is a large coin with one of 18 characters on it. The coin is large and heavy enough that it could substitute as a POG slammer. As for the Wonder Ball itself; the chocolate tastes synthetic (think cheap Palmer chocolate) and the candy pieces are like watered down Sweat Tarts. Overall, the prize is worth the price of admission.
Here's a quick montage of some of our favorite dialogue scenes from Data East's Captain America and the Avengers. As a kid I could not stand this game, but over the years it has grown on me. Fun beat'em up from 1991 with unique characters that have their own move sets. The art is great, especially in between stages where they use comic style panels to tell the story. The game also boasts some truly epic music. Nothing beats hearing the boss music change to an upbeat tune when you have them on the ropes. Definitely check this game out if you get a chance. Bring along some friends and the magic of Data East's Captain America and the Avengers will truly shine.
Super Mario Cereal has been given a makeover. The new box design ditches the Odyssey theme for Bowser and Princess Peach. Same mixed berry cereal with marshmallows, new look. When checking out the back of the box you can see that the amiibo feature is no more. Instead, a "Super Word Search" takes the amiibo's place. If you like sugary cereal with marshmallows, or you're looking for the perfect breakfast pairing with the "Super Mario Bros. Super Show," give Super Mario Cereal a try.
