This is a little intro post to my newest silly AU...
I'm dubbing it Ineffable WoLs, rather uncreatively, and it's an AU where I take some Good Omens characters and sling them into my favourite video game, the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV (With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn , the award-winning Stormblood AND the PEAK expansion Shadowbringer up to level 80 for free with no restrictions on playtime!) as Warriors of Light and Associated Associates.
Why? Because I can, and I want to, and I like writing and making things which make me happy. I'm trying to practice more writing and creating for myself, so I thought I'd give this a shot after some encouraging noises from some folks here, and especially my partner who supports and likes all my hare-brained schemes.
I'm also making them the most Mary Sue the Ineffables or indeed any WoLs have ever been.
Did I mention they're both women, too? Don't say I don't give the sapphics anything. (JK I love y'all!!)
The Xaela at the top of the post is Anthoni Crowley (She found the name in one of Azira's books)! She's a city state Xaela, conversely to most of her 'kind'. She was inhabiting Doma, until it was taken by the Garleans. She has The Echo, like every good WoL should, but she always thought her premonitions weren't anything to write home about. She grew up with fortune tellers and charlatans in a ragtag band which she now distances herself from. During her time with the band she used to roll with, Toni learned glamour magics, and often adds 'glamours' to her scales, having grown quite skilled at it now, mastering the application of multiple patterns and colours! She came as a refugee to Eorzea around the end of HW's timeline, seeking succor and kindness, and, well...
The Midlander below was happy to provide it! The OG WoL in this scenario before Anthoni joined her, AziraWight has Seen Some Shit. Born in Eastern La Noscea near Wineport, her family were wine makers and merchants until The Calamity. Shortly before The Calamity, (and I mean as in SHORTLY, as in minutes before Louisoix sacrificed himself for the good of the star, Azira went missing, only to reappear five years later with patchy memories, a family who mostly died in The Calamity itself, and no knowledge of how she got from Carteneau to Ul'dah, where she found herself, dehydrated, trekking through the desert, stopping passing carts and begging for food and water. Since then, the trajectory of her life has been forever altered by Hydaelyn, by the Scions, and by everyone she meets, really.
