"The Brothers Karamazov", Fyodor Dostoevsky (translated by Constance Garnett)

#the fact that I JUST read this part today is so eerie !!!#I was shook when I read it bc I was like wow how crazy to read this while also feeling this way #it’s a sign #also I’m scared that this book is already becoming my fav #bc i think about Klara and the sun allllll the time like no book can replace that feeling in my heart #so to have tbk already be so consuming is wild #anyways.

#and lastly bc I need to let it go #bc it’s really only me that’s heartbroken and I’m over feeling this sadness #the worst part of being in my 30s so far has been the understanding that mommy and daddy issues do in fact get worse as you age #not just the fact that our economy and job market is trash and moving in w either of them isn’t an option #more importantly it’s realizing that they aren’t capable of actually loving anyone besides themselves #and my bio parents are truly malignant narcissists #but they both have revealed deep regret about how they treated me #my mother first which was obviously a shock #but then my own father admitted that I got the worst situation out of all of us #and you’d think that the fact that they are capable of such honesty and reflection is a good sign #until they go right back to their selfish behavior #so their spoken remorse means shit when their actions continue to hurt everyone around them #that familial loneliness sucks bc it’s just biological to want the comfort of your parents #but never having been safe around them means it’s just not in the cards for you #I think that’s another reason why I cherish the family my ex gave me bc that really was love and it was one of the happiest times of my life #but I also understand that it may not ever be something i experienced again and that’s ok #that’s why I’m looking for love and joy in other places #anyways.#sometimes having a working thinking brains sucks

#I think I need to stop focusing so much on healing #and focus on who I am and what brings me joy as this self realized version of myself #bc another thing about turning 30 was understanding how bad things were truly based on how others reacted when I shared w them #and so now I don’t tell anyone anything bc the last few people broke my heart the way they looked at me afterwards #my psychiatrist wants me to start dating again but he’s so lucky he’s married bc people today are a bit apathetic #like even my ex wanted me to always be nice to my family knowing what they did to me #idk how to communicate the amount of betrayal it took for me to get to where I am today w out being upset that I need to share that much #just to finally have a man say oh ok I see why xy&z like please #basic consideration is just not a common thing in the dating scene rn #so 30s solitude is different #and I have hope that it will be filled w platonic love and love from nature and life #I truly dislike how a healing journey feels but the new beginnings feelings of optimism do feel pretty great #anyways.

#me #I don’t think I have a pic of myself in front of this mirror w out a cat in the background lmao #turned 32 a couple weeks ago and was looking at pics and found this one #it’s so crazy bc I weigh much less now but saw this and was like wow #I’ll never be that young and hot ever again lol #anyways.#being in your 30s is weird. I’m so calm now #I’m so sure of what I want in my life and what I don’t and I don’t entertain things once I know it’s not aligned #and yet I’m like wtf is a career? what’s earn a living? what’s productivity?#why do I need to play by made up rules when the elites and mega rich don’t have to?#the fact that life is so unfair still pisses me off. the fact that we don’t punish people publicly anymore bothers me #I understand the bitterness and numbness that old people have now and I don’t like it #so now I’m just trying to figure out how to manage all this information and feelings and every day “responsibilities”#anywho. I’m doing a bit better. and life’s going to get better for bc it just has to at this point.

#I went and got an eeg done so I can start tms #and knowing I had cptsd and mdd and all the damn diagnoses is one thing #but seeing how damaged my brain is from all of it was heartbreaking #my psychiatrist said it’s the first time he’s seen results that bad #he was like your brain is just tired and I was like yeah I should just let it finally rest right lmao #anyways.
