360 Concept Art : Gladiator I created this 360 Concept Painting to test out some 360 tools in Photoshop. One of my goals here was to use the cast shadow from the clouds to frame certain moments in the battle. I'm digging this technique.

With all of the turmoil going on around the planet... I wanted to give a shout out to all the Search and Rescue folks out there! This idea started out with some thumbnails that got me thinking about creating a rescue ship. I created a model in Zbrush, rendered in Keyshot, and painted the concept in Photoshop. I recorded the process.. Ill be making a tutorial for this soon. Â ( more at www.nickhiatt.com )

'First Contact' This is a concept sketch I created the other day. I was thinking about what it must have been like for the Beothuk tribe of Native Americans who encountered the Vikings in their first visits to North America somewhere near Newfoundland. I imagine they would be quite stand off'ish with these giant creatures wearing horns. Via : Adobe Photoshop
'Recon Mech' A little concept sketch I created Created via Zbrush, Keyshot, Adobe Photoshop
This is a ‘Nano Sub’ concept that I created via Zbrush, Keyshot, and Photoshop. This little guy is around the size of a quarter and is meant to be deployed to explore the depths of Icy Moons. A 3d Printer will land on the surface and begin to create these little guys as it slowly bores down to the water through the ice.Â
