Hey guys!  Who’s up for a drawing challenge?? 

The 8 Minute Drawing Challenge goes like this: ~Pick a subject, could be anything. Like a dog, or a truck, or a helicopter, or a self portrait, or a tree house. ~Grab a sheet of paper and divide it into 6 even sections. ~Click play on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsrQ6... and when the timer starts you have 4 minutes to draw your subject in one of the sections. ~When it beeps again you start another drawing in the second section, but this time you only have 2 minutes to draw it. ~Then do it in 1 minute. Then 30 seconds. Then 15 seconds. And finally 5 seconds.

I was challenged to do a Gravity Falls art piece for the Power Up Challenge, and landed on the Reverse Pines spin. 

Backstory: as I was catching up on Gravity Falls last month I was looking at GF fan art on tumblr, and kept waiting and waiting for the episode to come up that had these guys in it. It’s insane how much art there is for this 100% fan created notion.

Inktober Day 04

This time there’s a bit of a story!

This is something of a “What I Wore.” Earlier in the summer, I was going up and reading on my flat-roof every night. It was really really pleasant. It would sometimes be a bit chilly so I’d put on layers of skirts and fuzzy-pants and a partial sweater and so on (My top half tended not to get as cold). Comfy things. I read “The Golden Book of Faerie” by flashlight, a book that also has a story to it but that’s for another time.

Most nights you could see the stars and Kelowna’s city lights.

PowerUp Challenge #5: Re-draw an old drawing. It was difficult to decide which drawing to re-do, but for some reason I landed on this old sketch from my entrance portfolio to art school. Oh my god I’m so old.

I think he’s got a purse and apron(?) so as to add “humour” to the image?
