AUSTEN VERSE HEADCANONS → part 2/??.

hogwarts houses (CAST AND CREW): slytherins are julian espinosa, ashley cavill, and tristan ford; ravenclaws are aiden chamberlain and nicholas hart; hufflepuffs are chris allende and james fitzgerald; gryffindors are sierra brundage, alexis wright, and danielle blake

ashley never thought she’d find herself in entertainment --- she always thought she’d follow her parents and get involved in politics in one way or another. but by the time she hit high school she decided she hated it and found a passion in media. after all, andrea was the sister destined for political leadership. it was easy for her to land an internship at a television network when she was in college and soon she found herself rising the ranks until she was a showrunner at age 27.

julian has always been a writer, but he never had the patience to sit and be the kind of creator who produced novel after novel. novel writing bored him --- it was screenplays that captivated him and really kept him interested. throughout primary school he would write short films and with the help of some theater and broadcasting kids, they would produce them. he ended up attending a film school on the east coast where he found himself as the screenwriter for a web series produced by students. for a few years he was only writing indie films, but at 28 he got a job writing for a miniseries on bbc america and at 30 was hired to write for a new project they wanted to produce.

tristan is the only daughter in a family with four kids (her, nathan, landon, and brennon). she had another younger brother, damon, but he passed in a car accident --- she was supposed to pick him up the evening it happened but couldn’t make it off work on time, so he had to find another ride home. she still blames herself.

aiden grew up in australia and has been acting for as long as he can remember. his mother was on an advertising team for a production company while his absentee father was off doing god knows what. he was a commercial baby for years and often missed days during high school playing on a middle grade mermaid show. he and his mother moved to england when she was offered a job with a big company there --- he attended university and spent his free time doing small indie films. post-graduation he was cast in his biggest role up to that point; a supporting character in a period film. after that he found himself in several period roles until his manager showed him the plot of a new show being cast. he originally auditioned for darcy.

nicholas (given speling: niclas) hart, otherwise known as the biggest smartass on set, also known for poking fun at all of the americans bc he can and they never have any welsh stereotypes they can throw back at him. literally the opposite of his character in most ways, very passionate about his job. his little sister can often be found on set because with how sick his mother is, he usually has to take care of her. originally did what he does because acting was his passion, but now he also does it to do everything he can for his mother.

chris allende, the scottish sweetheart (and no one ever bothers trying to spell his given name bc going off of sound makes it impossible. his actual name is camhlaidh graeme but as an actor he knew he had to change it). he’s still recovering from the divorce with his wife --- but you’d never know bc he refuses to have anything less than a happy demeanor around his cast mates like he does everything he can to be as sunny as he ever is. 

james fitzgerald, the irish pain in the ass. equally as generous as he is a pain. an only child and incredibly lively, like he probably embodies one or two irish stereotypes tbh. as far as the cast knows about him, his background is v elusive. he went to the states to attend film school and not too long after graduating, he got his frst acting job --- a pretty big one, at that. for three years he had a steady job on a cw teen drama before his character was killed off. for another two years he had a part in a scifi movie franchise and some standalone films, followed by a small role on wyatt and ashley’s previous show. it was during one of his bigger movie roles where he met sloane and took a break for a year. the austen project is his first job after that break

sierra brundage, another child actor. also the bastard child of her family, not that she’s aware of that. her father owns a film production company back in california where he’s sleeping with his assistant, while her mother is a photographer for vanity fair, perpetually traveling from coast to coast. she and her brother have both been acting for as long as they can remember --- teachers on sets are the only ones they know, speaking into cameras coming as naturally as speaking itself. her first roles were as early as a few months old on some big named shows, followed by some jobs on sitcoms, leading to some child roles on abc family. she was yet another one of hollywood’s darlings by the time she was sixteen and she never thought to question it. she was simply lucky enough to have the privilege she was born with and she was convinced she had no right to complain about anything, even the shitty parents that were a package deal in the hand she was dealt. she kept quiet like she thought was necessary and continued doing what she loved, only a few steps behind her beloved big brother (who may as well have been the actual version of chad dylan cooper). it took four years before she grew into herself, more of a spitfire than anyone had anticipated from her. she started taking more adult roles (’no more playing little sister to matthew archibald, eh?’ some reporters had questioned playfully, in reference to one of her biggest films), wanting to step out of the box she had unintentionally placed herself in. she was 24 when the pilot script for ‘untitled bbc project’ was handed to her across her manager’s desk and she was sold even then --- she was one of the first roles to be casted. so with only a nod of satisfaction from her father, she packed up her room and moved into a flat in europe, missing only her big brother.

alexis wright, the epitome of the kind of girl you would see in california waitressing until she got her ‘big break’, except she got to skip the waitressing part. she’d been in all of two things before she stepped out on a limb and auditioned for lydia bennet, going from unknown actress to big supporting role in three steps. born and raised in wilmington, north carolina, europe is a big transition for the lively, almost too-friendly girl and her mother. 

so this headcanon is really short but i’m still working on dani’s background and i just needed it to be written down that i imagine she almost lost out on the role of elizabeth bennet to lily james twice

hogwarts houses (IN CHARACTER): ravenclaws are elizabeth bennet and dean knightley; hufflepuffs are charles bingley, georgiana darcy (also considered making her slytherin for reasons), and robert martin; gryffindors are lydia bennet and william fitz

lydia bennet ALWAYS heads to high ground when she’s upset like she can be theatrical and sure knows how to amp up the drama but when she’s legitimately upset she gets as high of a vantage point as she can manage

gigi darcy hates her full name like she’s not from some regency era period drama why did her parents have to name her that? though it was actually mrs. darcy who gave her the nickname ‘gigi’ while the boys of the house called her georgiana. will is the only one who can call her that without her finding it condescending

dean knightley is generally a collected guy but when he gets excited/heated about something he starts rambling and talks with his hands. like one or two have been victim of an accidental hit to the face when he gets started

william fitz has always been interested in photography. for a while in high school he was never found without a camera

after his parents divorced, robert martin dropped out of the school he was attending to become an vet and instead went to technical school where he learned how to handle computers. eventually he wants to go back to school for graphic design so he can create websites

charles bingley has been writing for as long as he can remember. he would always come up with these wild stories to tell to caroline as they would try to fall asleep and later gave some to william for gigi after the passing of their parents. he has three published novels and is currently working on his first series

elizabeth bennet can touch her tongue to her nose and this may not be a very deep headcanon but it’s something she’s proud of so yeah

gigi has always looked up to her brother and can only aspire to be as successful as he is by the time she’s his age. she’s currently in her final year of college and can usually be found doing whatever is needed around pemberley and/or playing tetris on darcy’s computer

lydia often feels as though she’s seen as lesser than her sisters and while she wants to live up to expectations set by them, she doesn’t want to be them and she doesn’t know how to find that middle ground. she loves them more than anything and shows it in her own way but generally feels like she’s the least liked bennet sister
